This book is published by Phaze Books and is a short novel/novella. Elements: scenes of intense sexuality, sensuality, interracial.
Schooled is a romantic love story between an ex-convict and a teacher. From the time Harper sees Nathaniel at a parent-teacher conference she is instantly smitten by him. Nathaniel finds himself looking at his son’s teacher and seeing forever in her eyes.
This is a slow burn of an erotic love story with conflict. Harper as a teacher does not want to jeopardize her position, yet she can’t get Nathaniel off of her mind. Nathaniel has many fantasies involving Harper and he finally breaks down and ask her out on a date and she accepts.
Nathaniel is poetic in how he feels about Harper, but she has been hurt before and wants to take it slow, but as soon as he kisses her, they almost make love in the parking lot after their date. He actually gives her an impromptu orgasm.
But as they two try to come together, Nathaniel pasts catches up with him and Harper is now faced with a choice.
This is such a lovely story of pasts regrets and new love. The self-love scene that Nathaniel does makes one feel like a naughty voyeur.
Bottom line I give this book a 4. It is touching and yet a hot read. Great characters and situations. Don’t let this one pass you by.
