He's the type of religious zealot that no one can simply close the door on. If preaching and sprinkling the heretics with magic water fails, there's always the option of wholesale slaughter and, being a, "...European sword master full of honor and devotion to the Holy Roman Church...," the man's sufficiently brainwashed and skilled to carry it out.

Oh, did I mention exorcism is a magic power and you can learn it from Dominican monks?

Hellion - Mystery of the Inquisition follows Godric of Glastonbury, the son of a reknowned Crusader, trained since the age of seven in the ways of a knight and devotion to the Catholic Church. At the age of ten, Godric's father Alric was charged with heresy by a band of marauding, armed men and murdered upon resistance.

Godric is raised by his uncle until 18, when he leaves England, falls in with the Dominican monks, travels to Rome and betrays his father by joining the Inquisition. Of course, he doesn't view it as betraying his father, but isn't he now carrying the same type of religious injustice that took his progenitor's life?

The graphics are oustanding from what little has been released of the title. The plot is well-written, if religiously trite, and there's ample opportunity for both an in-depth storyline and plenty of hack-and-slash if the developers put in the effort. I, for one, intend to try it for the sole fact games set in or around the 13th century are so rare.

There's also the fact I need to see if I've made an <insert expletive for donkey> of myself from currently-existing previews.

Hellion - Mystery of the Inquisition will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but the release date currently hasn't been set.
