Continuing Coverage: Pacquiao vs. Cotto
Dear Boxing Fans -
I treasure my hair. I like it. It looks normal. After this weekend, it might be gone!
Two weeks ago, in an email I challenged the YouTube Boxing Community to hold themselves acountable for their predictions for the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto showdown this Saturday evening, November 14th. As opposed to spewing random prediction comments on video without ample consideration of tactical strategy and fight variables, I extolled the importance of accountability. I got it.
Several YouTube boxing channels are faithfully and dutifully taking the challenge. If they get their predictions wrong, they must shave their head bald! Yes. (If they are already bald, they should consider donating to a charitable foundation for good cause.)

I am also taking that challenge. It is only just. This fight is already exciting. This added dimension truly adds a lot more "pizzazz." I predict Pacquiao to win by KO or TKO in the 6th round. It is right to also hold myself accountable for this analysis. If Cotto wins, I will show up to work (at an energy consulting and publishing firm) with, let's just say, a "unique and differentiated" look. And not in my favor, I should say. But we venture into the bold and daring!
Friday evening, I board my flight to Las Vegas. Saturday night, I will be counting my blessings for being able to watch a historic fight live, and inside the MGM. Sunday afternoon, "I shall return" to Houston having crossed my fingers the entire weekend. (Might this gesture somehow diminish some measure of journalistic objectivity? Yes. I plainly confess, that as a man, I am also a fun dude and a big fan of this utterly violent sport.) God bless, and I hope each of you have your best weekend of the year! It's the last best weekend of this decade.
Most sincerely and respectfully,
Marv Dumon, Houston Boxing Examiner
