id Software has revealed details on some new updates on the way for their free FPS Quake Live.

Plans include adding new maps, support for private games, providing new servers that will also host tournaments and other competitive events, tutorials on specific moves and more. Leaderboards will return sometime this month as well.

Additionally, full support for Mac and Linux versions of the game are being prepped for play.
