Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has picked up Jim Veevaert, the lead exec behind the Halo franchise, and Ubisoft Senior VP of publishing Jay Cohen to run Jerry Bruckheimer Games Studio as leads of production and development.

In 2007, Bruckheimer announced plans to enter the video game space through a partnership with MTV. The company will publish Bruckheimer's games and co-develop with the newly founded team.

Veevaert spent the last eight years at Microsoft including his position as executive producer on Halo 3. He also served as a liaison between Microsoft and Bungie Studios.

Additionally, Veevaert matched Gears of War developer Epic Games with Microsoft.

Cohen has spent 10 years at Ubisoft as senior VP of publishing, building up popular franchises including Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Rayman.
