As Americans become more aware of Obama's thirty-four Czars, each one is being looked at more carefully than before the Van Jones background was exposed. Next to come under the radar is John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar. His views on families and population control is raising some eyebrows.
Holden holds the attitude that the traditional family is obsolete. His approach to the science of population appears to include mass compulsory sterilization to create smaller families.
In Ecoscience, the book he wrote with Paul and Anne Ehrlichs, he says:
Radical changes in family structure and relationships are inevitable, whether population control is instituted or not. Inaction, attended by a steady deterioration in living conditions for the poor majority, will bring changes everywhere that no one could consider beneficial. Thus, it is beside the point to object to population-control measures simply on the grounds that they might change the social structure or family relationships.
Holden also advocates
....tax laws could be adjusted to favor (instead of penalize) single people, working wives, and small families. Other tax measures might also include high marriage fees, taxes on luxury baby goods and toys, and removal of family allowances where they exist. Other possibilities include the limitation of maternal or educational benefits to two children per family.
Either Obama agrees with John Holdren's views on population control or his staff didn't bother to vet him or read his book before bestowing the position on Holdren.
