A fake article asserting that President Barack Obama insulted the US Constitution in a college thesis was believed to be accurate by Rush Limbaugh last week. And, as a result, the conservative radio host fell for the hoax before a live audience of millions of listeners.
And now Rush Limbaugh is eating his words and finding himself forced to admit the article was a forgery.
But he is yet to formally apologize.
Limbaugh, who reported the "news" as fact on Friday, got the story from an unknown blogger named Michael Leeden who acquired the piece from a website that specializes in political satire, according to the New York Daily News.
"So here is who we have as our President of the United States: an anti-constitutionalist man who finds it an obstacle and is finding ways around it on purpose, unconstitutionally," Limbaugh commented Friday.
Although Rush Limbaugh learned before the conclusion of Friday's broadcast that the news he broke was indeed invented, the controversial radio host has not yet done what many now expect - a public admission that he is sorry.
Millions will be listening Monday to hear if Limbaugh publicly retracts his comments, apologizes to President Obama, or simply ignores the situation altogether.

Wow. You left out a couple of facts. 1. He reported it in the first hour. 2. In the second hour of the broadcast he pointed out that they hadn't been able to find another sources for it. 3. In the third hour he reported himself before anyone else that it was not real and that it was satire.
