From Christopher McQuarrie, the writer of The Unusual Suspects (1995), Valkyrie (2008) and the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 (2011), comes Persons Unknown: The Complete First Season, a TV mini-series about an eclectic group of seven strangers who wake up inside a hotel, imprisoned in a 1950s-era ghost town. They have no idea how they got there or where they are. Security cameras and microphones are installed everywhere watching their every move and listening to their conversations. Challenged physically, emotionally and psychologically, they must rely on each other to survive despite the growing mistrust. Meanwhile, an investigative reporter with a personal connection to one of the strangers looks into the disappearance and puts his own life at risk.
Episodes:
Episode #1: "Pilot" - Seven strangers discover that they are trapped in a deserted town with their every move being filmed.
Episode #2: "The Edge" - Moira removes the implant device in everyone's thigh, hoping that will allow them to escape. When that fails, Joe and Graham try to learn more about the new means used to imprison them. Meanwhile, Renbe tries to find out more about Janet's disappearance, Charlie and Bill confront the Night Manager, and Tori and Moira bond over a butterfly.
Episode #3: "The Way Through" - A helicopter appears above the prisoners , but it turns out it is only there to provide them with a box. The box contains three gas masks, but there are seven prisoners. Meanwhile, Renbe takes up Janet's case again but Edick warns him off.
Episode #4: "Exit One" - The Night Manager informs the abductees that one of them will be allowed to check out. They soon discover which one, and that another can also leave. Meanwhile, Kat and Gomez learn of Renbe's connection to Janet, and another prisoner begs for freedom.
Episode #5: "Incoming" - The group searches for Tori and finds a new prisoner, Erika, who attacks Joe and the others. Meanwhile, Renbe learns about Tori's fate and realizes that it's connected to Janet's disappearance.
Episode #6: "The Truth" - When Joe is struck ill, Erika holds the key to his cure, but refuses to provide it unless he answers her questions. Meanwhile, Renbe and Kat travel to Rome for Tori's funeral and discover a man who knew Tori and can provide some answers about her father.
Episode #7: "Smoke and Steel" - Joe confesses everything to Janet. Meanwhile, Renbe, Kat, and Stefano try to locate Janet by tracking Joe.
Episode #8: "Saved" - Joe, Graham, and Bill are forced to confront their pasts. Meanwhile, Renbe and Kat try to find the one person who escaped the program.
Episode #9: "Static" - Joe returns to the town, but claims to be suffering from amnesia with no memory of his fellow prisoners. They discuss what to do with him, while at Program headquarters, the Director reconsiders her approach. Meanwhile, Kat and Renbe try to escape San Nicasio and find an answer to many of their questions.
Episode #10: "Identity" - The new night manager lays down the law, locking everyone into the hotel. Meanwhile, Kat and Renbe's quest takes them to an abandoned duplicate of the town.
Episode #11: "Seven Sacrifices" - Janet decides to seduce Ulrich in a bid for freedom when she realizes that she can't trust Joe. Meanwhile, Bill and Charlie come to terms with each other and with the town.
Episdoe #12: "And Then There Was One" - Things become critical when the captives discover that their food and water have disappeared. Meanwhile, Renbe and Kat go to a medical examiner with their one remaining piece of evidence.
Episode #13: "Shadows in the Cave" - The captives survive a van crash and split up to complete their escape. Janet ends up in a hospital where the Program attempts to recover her. Meanwhile, Kat and Renbe return to San Francisco after learning that Janet has surfaced, but find the police on their trail.
