The comedy film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, starring Will Farrell and Christina Applegate, comes to Blu-ray for the very first time in The Rich Mahogany Editon, available exclusively at Best Buy.

It is the 1970s and local San Diego TV anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is at the top of his game at KVWN-TV Channel 4 doing the highest-rated news program "Evening News." He works with three other friends which form the news team: Champion "Champ" Kind who does the sports (David Koechner), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) who does the weather and Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) who does on-location reporting. Their boss is Channel 4 news director Ed Harken (Fred Willard).

When female news reporter Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) from Asheville, North Carolina joins the all-male news team to add diversity, everything changes. Full of ambition, she is determined to do whatever it takes to become a news anchorwoman. At first, the news team flirts with her and Ron even ends up sleeping with her. However, she and Ron become enemies when she is made co-anchor after Ron misses work due to hitting a motorcyclist (Jack Black) with his burrito and having his dog Baxter thrown off a bridge.

With Veronica's success, the men Ron, Champ, Brick and Brian head off to go suit shopping to give their wounded egos a boost. However, chaos ensues when they end up on the wrong side of the warehouse district. They run into their rivals, the second-rated Wes Mantooth's (Vince Vaughn) KQHS Channel 9 Evening News Team. There is an anchorman brawl, joined by Channel 2 News (Luke Wilson), Public News (Tim Robbins) and Spanish Language News (Ben Stiller). With weapons flying, some are injured and one is murdered.

Back at the Channel 4 news studio, Veronica is basking in her success and decides to deliver the coup de grace, getting Ron fired. With no job and no friends, Ron becomes a drunk while Veronica becomes famous. How did the top news anchorman fall so far?

When the hottest news of the summer is about to break with Ling-Wong the panda about to give birth, Veronica gets in trouble with a rival news team at the San Diego Zoo. Desperate for help, Ed gives Ron a call. Will this be the perfect opportunity for Ron and his washed out buddies to get their foot back in the door? Will Ron save Veronica or will he get the scoop for himself?
