Fl. man found guilty of molesting 2-year-old at Sea World

Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice (DoJ) to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, announced this week that Michael Brian Grzybowicz (27) of Cocoa, FL was found guilty of sexual exploitation of a child by producing child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and, possession of child pornography.  According to the DoJ:

Grzybowicz went to Sea World with a family, including a two-year-old girl and a five year-old boy, to celebrate the children's mother's birthday. While at the park, Grzybowicz was asked by the parents of the children to watch the 2-year-old girl and her brother while the parents rode a roller coaster.

While the parents were on the roller coaster, Grzybowicz molested the 2-year-old and took explicit photographs of the child, using his cell phone. He emailed those pictures to his personal e-mail address after leaving the park.

Two days after the sexual assault,  Grzybowicz's wife discovered  one of the pornographic images on her husband’s cell phone; and she reported the matter to the Cocoa Police Department.

Law enforcement authorities located Grzybowicz's computer, which contained other images of child pornography, including the images he had taken of the two-year-old at the theme park. Grzybowicz was arrested after he provided a statement to a police detective.  ~ per DoJ

  • a mandatory minimum of 5 years and up to 20 years in federal prison on the distribution charge, and,
  • up to 10 years in federal prison on the possession charge.

Grzybowicz’s sentencing court date has not yet been scheduled.
