Not your usual Pit Bull attack story....

You know the drill - you see Pit Bull and attack in a headline and you start to shake your head. Here we go again, another bad dog in the news.

More ammunition for the Pit bull haters - get those vicious dogs off the street - they want to attack anything in their path.

Notorious for their over the top prey drive, no living creature is safe.

Surely this must all be true....

Well, just enjoy the slideshow today. Enjoy Parfait - a formerly abused Pit bull getting attacked by a pack of baby bunnies.

The bunnies were relentless - pestering, perstering, pestering - until the weary dog gave up her fight and simply...went to sleep.

Enjoy the smile and please, pass this one along and brighten the day of someone else.

Thank you to Rocky Ridge Refuge for providing these amazing, heart-warming photos.

So cute! My GSD would happily sit there with bunnies but my husky and wolfdogs would think they are a snack. :)

i was never one for the pitt bull breed until i met my girlfriend who has 4. they are the most gentle and loveing dogs i have ever met. she allows her min pin to climb all over them and they love it. they have never tried to attack anything even when they get loose. just want the cat food. i dont like that the only time they say theres been a dog attack the only time they name the type of dog is when its a pit. any animal can turn when warrented. there wild at heart. its the love and affection that prevents it. it NOT THE DOG BUT THE OWNER. get rid of them and we wont have these problems.

This does not surprise me in the least. My pit bull leaves the ferrets alone. And baby kittens sleep on her back when she is napping on the couch. I clipped their claws as she really hates getting claws set into her, even accidentally, but she does not hurt any of the cats or kittens. Her face drops when people don't want to say hi to her or pet her. She loves everybody and everything. I have a friend who won't touch a pit bull with a 20' pole and yet she has a bull terrier that is terrible. I won't touch him either. Everyone has their limits. My pit bull is so much better behaved than her dogs and she ued to train dogs. Mine has been through class and will get her CGCC soon. Then on to therapy class and then service dog class (for me-I have bad knees). I am already training her to "brace" so I can get up off the floor. She is fabulous. A lot of people in this world just don't have a clue how to work with and love animals. So sad. This is an uplifting story. Need more. Thank you.

Thanks for some fun - some of these stories have been really hard today - frozen dogs, dog in the box, etc. I get weary feeling so badly for all of them.

I had my beautiful red nose, "cocoa" for 12 1/2 years, she was always the center of attention. A friend of mine was a cameraman for fox news in Jacksonville, Florida and guess who he wanted every time there was a dog story? My Cocoa! She was almost 15 when I had to put her to sleep, cancer. If you are not going to have a litter of puppies, get your Pitt fixed as they are really prone to cancer. I will have another pitt when I am ready to adopt another dog. Because of the beautiful dog I was graced with, alot of people I knew became Pitt lovers...and OWNERS! And if you ask them, they wouldn't have it any other way....HATE THE DDED, NOT THE BREED!
