If having a one of a kind disc golf disc that you can show off your creativity, or having custom dyed discs with cool pictures on them is something you would like, there are several options that you have. You can buy special stamped discs, custom dyed discs, or you can make your own that are very cool.
Many of the big tournaments as well as many disc golf clubs, and some of the bigger courses, sell special stamped discs for fundraising, and have some very cool custom stamped disc golf discs you can get with the tournament stamp, the club stamp, or the course stamp on the disc.
Many charity events, such as the ice bowl tournaments also have custom stamped disc golf discs. These discs are normally available at the disc dealers in the area of the event, or some of the large national retailers. As an example Gotta Go Gotta Throw in Golden Valley Minnesota, has ice bowl discs from the St Paul winter carnival available. Disc manufactures like Discraft have fundraiser discs for different events that are also worth looking at.
If your looking for unique dyed discs that you don’t have to make, there are several options. Dr Dyed who does his own and sells them on Ebay, he also does the custom dyed discs for Sun King discs. Many other retailers sell very cool custom discs on Ebay as well.
Dying your own discs gives you the most options. You are only limited by your creativity and how much time you want to invest in making the stencils. Making your own takes a few tools, dye, a heat source, and some patience. Just about anyone can do their own disc dying, but it will take some practice to learn the little things that will make it work well. Having good directions on how dye correctly is the key.
