Congratulation to Marylanders for Better Beer and Wine Laws for their persistent and unwavering work on the "Wine Shipping" law.
Wine shipping passed the Senate last night 45-0 and will soon head to the Governor's desk for signature! From previous reports from the Baltimore Sun, "Governor Martin O'Malley has said he would sign the legislation."
Procedural legislative votes remain after the governor's signature. All goes well and by July 1 wine shipping will begin. This was reported by John Hesse, Executive Director - Marylanders for Better Beer & Wine Laws.
