Sharron Angle: "second amendment remedies"

Earlier this year Sharron Angle (R-NV) was asked by right wing radio talk show host Lars Larson, where she stood on the Second Amendment. (You can listen to her interview here.)

“You know, our Founding Fathers, they put that Second Amendment in there for a good reason and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And in fact, Thomas Jefferson said it’s good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.”

“I hope that’s not where we’re going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying, ‘my goodness what can we do to turn this country around?’ I’ll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.”

And during an interview with the Reno Gazette-Journal last month, Sharron Angle said “it’s almost an imperative” that conservatives win. “The nation is arming,” she said. “What are they arming for if it isn’t that they are so distrustful of their government? They’re afraid they’ll have to fight for their liberty in more Second Amendment kinds of ways. That’s why I look at this as almost an imperative. If we don’t win at the ballot box, what will be the next step?”

Sharron Angle has said on more than one occasion that this Novembers election is about Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and not her. Someone needs to inform candidate Angle that this election is about her as well as Senator Reid.  And when she runs from the main stream media (see Angle run from the MSM) , it will still continue to be about her, and Senator Reid.

So far, Sharron Angle has refused to do any interviews with the MSM and has granted interviews ONLY to the right wing radio talk shows and right wing TV shows on Fox News. She knows that no one will ask her about her views except is the broadest terms, and that the right wing media will allow her to ramble on and on about how Senator Reid never did anything positive for Nevada while ignoring facts. She is afraid to appear on any program that is mainstream.

Why is Sharron Angle afraid of real news programs?

Because she is an extremist. She incites and provokes the right wing fringe with words like: “people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies" and saying, “they’ll have to fight for their liberty in more Second Amendment kinds of ways.” And their was this double entendre, “I’ll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out”. Angle also knows that the only audience that will accept her views, only listen to, or watch right wing news outlets.

Sig Rogich, a Nevada Republican who helped to elect Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and dozens of Nevada Republicans, including the current Governor of Nevada, Jim Gibbons, was recently asked who he will be supporting, Angle or Reid? His answer was "we've got this nightmare”, referring to Sharron Angle.

Sharron Angle pretty much scares everyone, except the right wing fringe, and she likes to say that this Senate race is about Harry, not Sharron. Of course she wants to make this race about someone else, she’s an extremist and she knows it, and she needs to keep her views on various issues that Nevadans now face out of the MSM, to hide the truth, the truth that her views only play well to other right wing fringe dwellers like herself.

Some of Sharron Angle’s extremist views: 

• The Department of Education (create a third world work force with Americans)
• Privatize Medicare (less service more profit for share holders)
• Privatize Social Security (less returns and a boon for Banks)
• Is against both parents working (Mothers must stay home)
• Is against Financial Reforms (economy is fine they don’t need regulations)
• Does not believe in Global Warming (The last decade was the hottest ever on record)
• She is a Member of the Oath Keepers (cops who will disobey commands)
• Wants to ban alcohol (favors a prohibition)
• Oil industry should have less regulations (BP oil spill no big deal)
• Free Market will police themselves (like they did before the economy crash)
• Abolish the IRS Tax codes (always a crowd pleaser, but endangers America)
• Withdraw from the United Nations (you are either with us or against us, we don’t need to talk to anyone)
• Abolish the Department of Energy (Nevada is well positioned for future green energy, Angle wants to stop that)
• Abolish the EPA (its OK to contaminate the environment, the free market will police itself)
• Open up Yucca Mountain, build nuclear power plants there as well as dumping the nations waste

Sharron Angle is a disaster waiting to happen, and because of her extremism, this Senate race is about her whether she likes it or not.
