A Taste of San Diego Food Tours in San Diego, California

Considered by many to be the "Birthplace of California," the initially Spanish settled city of San Diego is another culinary gem in California.  Like Los Angeles, San Diego has many districts and neighborhoods, making it hard to know all the great places to go.  When visiting San Diego, consider checking out A Taste of San Diego Food Tours who offers four different options for a day of delicious eats down south.

A Taste of San Diego was founded by Annette, a third generation San Diego native who wanted to share her passion for the San Diego food scene with the world.

Currently, A Taste of San Diego offers the #1 Hometown Tour, Hometown and Triple D Food Tour, A Taste of Downtown, and the new Taste of Mission Hills.  Here is a little bit about each of the delicious offerings:

Tour # 1 - Hometown Tour

Tour includes tasting at seven to eight restaurants. You will sample a variety of fresh baked pastries, homemade authentic Mexican food with fresh tortillas, and a variety of other cuisines including American, Vietnamese, Italian, Seafood, Polynesian, and then finish off the tour with dessert. Tastings may vary based on the tour and day chosen.

"Hometown" and "Triple D Food Tour"

Guy Fieri and Food Network fans will rejoice with this tour!  If you like the Food Network then this is the tour for you. You will visit four locations where Guy Fieri filmed his Food Network show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. You will also visit four Hometown places as well!

"A Taste of Downtown"

This is a three-hour walking and tasting tour.  The tour will cover 18 city blocks, or approximately 1.4 miles, of Downtown San Diego.  You will head off the beaten path and visit six locations, with the opportunity to taste 12 - 15 different items.  Some of the offerings include fresh baked artisan bread and pastries, seafood, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mexican, Mediterranean, plus cheeses and wine, and of course -- dessert!

New “Taste of Mission Hills”

The new Mission Hills tour will give you a look at a different part of San Diego. You will walk through the heart of Mission Hills, while enjoying some fantastic food. The tour makes six tasting stops.  Guests are welcome to purchase a "one Champagne and three wine tasting pairing" for an additional $25.00 per person.

All tours include bottled water and other beverages may be purchased at the tasting locations. For more information and available tour dates, please see the A Taste of San Diego website.
