About a week ago, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee defeated an amendment which would have excluded illegal aliens from Obama’s massive healthcare bill. In addition to replacing our private healthcare system with a government-run program, many have argued that this bill is in fact, a ‘backdoor’ amnesty. The Democratically-controlled committee voted 23-18 to defeat the measure introduced by Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV), which would have required the use of the existing Income and Eligibility Verification System and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements System, before any care is given. This move would have ensured that only U.S. citizens would receive the taxpayer funded care. While Obama has made claims that illegal aliens will not be covered by his plan, the following line can be found among the 1018 page bill: Sec. 59B, Pg. 170, Line 1 - “Any NONRESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes.” Of course, illegal aliens taking advantage of the American taxpayer is nothing new. Judicial Watch’s president Tom Fitton recently reported that Mexico directs their citizens who live in the U.S. illegally, to use taxpayer funded clinics in a dozen cities. The program is called Ventanillas de Salud (Health Windows), and is implemented in American cities which have Mexican consulates. The government of Mexico has operated the program for some time. In 2007, Fitton wrote the following: “Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego and Indiana are among the cities where Mexican consulates operate the health referral system which annually costs U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars. In Los Angeles County alone, illegal immigrants cost taxpayers nearly $440 million in health services annually and a whopping $1.1 billion statewide. The Mexican consul in Los Angeles proudly announced that nearly 300,000 Mexicans in the area have benefited from his government's health referral program, which he says actually saves the county money by encouraging immigrants to seek preventive care rather than waiting for more expensive emergency treatment. The Southern California operation promises to assess "consulate clients" for eligibility to government-funded health insurance and other primary care services and offers free legal assistance to those who are denied coverage. Its goal is to improve access to health services for immigrants of Mexican origin by formalizing a health education, medical home referral and insurance enrollment program.” Last summer, candidate Obama addressed the 2008 National La Raza Conference and promised that he would pass so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform.” However, the American people have repeatedly and overwhelmingly rejected any plan for amnesty for illegal aliens, and given Obama’s plummeting poll numbers, he would not make another attempt at such a bill. So, Obama has decided to sneak measures into his healthcare bill which will further entrench illegal aliens across this nation. If this bill passes, the American people will become financially responsible for the cradle to grave medical bills of all illegal aliens in this country. While the federal government has claimed for the last 10 years that there are only 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S., that number is much higher (closer to 60 million than to 12). Along with our possessions, city services, and even many children’s innocence, illegal aliens will now steal full medical coverage from Americans, with the help of our own president! ? ?

If Obama is allowed to legitimize illegal aliens by giving them health care he won't have to work very hard to make them citizens. The health care bill is the opening wedge to accomplish this. No one is asking about this and no one is asking Obama if he has read the whole health care bill.

When will our government stop using taxpayers money to support Mexico. Why can't the Mexican government send US to money to take care of its people. Stop the madness. a non resident alien is someone who works here but is a citizen of another country. They will also not be covered under this legislation.

I am fighting mad about this whole thing. where in the constitution does it say that they government can fine me and try to send me to court because i dont have health insurance? why am i paying over 300 a month in medicare that i wont see when i become a senior? why are they taking more and more of my money?? why are the ILLEGALS getting a better deal than me a US citizen? why are the ILLEGALS not being sent home?

It has come to my attention that under both the Senate and House Versions of the Health Care Bills will provide an Illegal persons health benefits.
Congressional Research Service says that under both the House and Senate health care legislation benefits will include Illegal people.

This is nothing new, It's been going on for years. Ever since I can remember. I lived in California all of my life. I never could understand why we give illegal women welfare and medical benefits. The whole country is being flooded by them. If we stop giving them benefits then they will stop coming over here. It's very simple. Why should we pay for it. The mexican president needs to step up and take care of his own people. People need to work for their benefits, not just sit on their ass and multiply. Our hospitals should reject them and tell them to go home. We don't need anymore anchor babies. I'm sorry if this sounds mean, but illegal women are not very productive in the work force and why should they get benefits and not have to work. We need to restructure this whole mess and start over. We need new rules and regulations. If you want to become a citizen then be a productive person and work for it. Don't just spread your legs and expect it! Our American women are expected to do this, so why aren't they!!!
