Anderson Valley Brewing Company recently made a big change. Long time owner Ken Allen decided it was time to move on and sold the company to current owner Trey White. White had an idea to bring the company back to the prominence it once enjoyed among craft brewers and set out to make it happen. The first step was to bring back former brew master Fal Allen. The second step was the new Bahl Hornin’ Series, a draft-only series of releases with an eye on experimentation and pushing the boundaries of beer.
Bahl Horning (or “Good Drinking” in Boontling), kicks off this Tuesday with a special release party at the Toad in the Hole in Santa Rosa. There, you will be able to try the new Imperial Boont, the first Bahl Hornin’ release. Alongside this imperial amber ale will be the classic Boont Amber, giving customers a chance to try the brewery’s roots as well as see where they are headed. You’ll also get a chance to say hello to Trey and the Anderson Valley team as they will be on hand to celebrate this new draft series.
With a new release coming every 60 days, the Bahl Hornin’ series is sure to keep Anderson Valley on the tongues of local beer drinkers. Upcoming Bahl Hornin’ releases include a Boont Black IPA in November, Boont Barleywine in January 2011 and Boont Hoppy Red Ale in March 2011.
For those beer aficionados out there looking for more technical details on this new Anderson Valley Release, here are the specifications.
