All that remains of the 2nd Annual International Beerfest are the 34 medals won by Ohio Breweries (of 76 total awarded) and maybe a few hangovers. Out of over 300 beers submitted and 76 medals awarded in 24 categories...
Karen Bujak has been a homebrewer since 1995, and a beer writer for the Great Lakes Brewing News for more than ten years, a beer afficionado for even longer, a member of both the SAAZ (Society of Akron Area Zymurgists) and SNOB (Society of Northeast Ohio Brewers) homebrew clubs, and is owner of the Ohio Beer Guide website. A native of northeast Ohio and graduate of Cleveland State in chemical engineering, Karen has her finger on the pulse of beer happenings in northeast Ohio and throughout the state.
