One of the brightest, articulate and assertive advocates of Child Protective Services reform, Bill Bowen, has died of a heart attack.
Before his death, Bowen was trying to raise money to produce a full length version of his 30 minute documentary film, Innocence Destroyed. Innocence Destroyed exposes the deaths of thousands of children while in the care of Child Protective Services.
I had several long late night conversations with Bill Bowen via telephone this summer and while we talked about everything, and while he had many irons in the fire, his top priority was finishing Innocence Destroyed as well as helping people initiate class action lawsuits against Child Protective Services agencies in all fifty states.
Bowen, a former fire fighter and federal investigator, is also known for exposing the New York City Fire Department in a book, Radio Silence F.D.N.Y. The Betrayal of New York's Bravest, which he coauthored with Battalion Chief John Joyce. The book describes how 125 New York City firefighters and numerous civilians lost their lives on 9/11 due to problems with their two-way radios.
Many of us only became friends with Bill in the past year. Some of us hooked up with him on Facebook, where he had many friends.
We will all miss him.
My hope is that a filmmaker will take up where Bill left off and finish his documentary because I believe it is what he wanted to leave as his legacy.

I have no doubt that Bill will most certainly be carrying on in his work with Nancy to assist him. They will both be missed along with the many others that have fallen to the oppression dispensed by the Courts and CPS. May you all forever be remembered for all that you have done.

I am wondering if anyone knows where I may find Mr. Bowen's obituary? I'm hoping there is a charity listed in it that I may make a donation to in honor of Mr. Bowen. Thank you in advance.
Does anyone have answers yet on the following: Is there an obituary? Is there an address or PO box to which we can send sympathy cards? Will there be a funeral or memorial service? Bill had so very many friends and co-workers, both in person and on FB; but less than half of the people in the U.S. use the internet, so what about those folks?
I was just told on FB that they are waiting for the toxocology reports which should be back in about 2 more weeks before being able to bury him. There is no obit or anything else available at this time. Hope that helps.
Just shocking to hear that my dear friend has departed! Used to share so many jokes together! I am still in a blur.

This is a sad year, I met this courageous man after trying to help some others who had become involved with CPS and other agencies across the world. Fran Lyon (UK) then Sonja, ShreddedSociety, USA. I then found literally hundreds of other people who had been butchered by the "family courts" not only in the USA, but across the whole of Westerm Europe, Australia, Canada.
There is no question or doubt that there lies a serious fundamental flaw in this organisation, not only is it incredibly dangerous for families to come into contact with it, there is absolutely no guarantee that any person working within these services will even tell the truth. Perjury is rife, false witnessing endemic.
Yes there are children who need protection from violence, drugs and abuse, but now they need protecting not only from the parents who would inflict that, but also from the STATE! Their new abuser. Worse yet, when the abuse is committed by the State, the state then does everything it can to cover it up, there is NO PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY for CPS, they have a free hand to commit whatever crime they want!
The simple fact remains that this is an International disgrace and a flagrant abuse of Human Rights and this is where Bill Bowen spoke out! A strong advocate against the pernicious and deceitful practices of a politically overpowered organisation!
This organisation which acts in the so called "interests of the child" will destroy a family, tear apart a home, seperate siblings and remove children from THE INNOCENT, by means of an equally corrupt judiciary.
Thank you Bill Bowen for speaking and standing out, there are others who could do, but there is either little will or courage left now in the hearts of men and even less in the hearts of politicians!
I feel sad, first Nancy Schaefer and now Bill, these are indeed sad times, oh not for the crooks and fancy lawyers and judges who earn so much money for the government to adopt children, for that is what it is all about these days, not even for the parents who are innocent or have had their lives ripped apart by this fraudulent and corrupt mechanism of the State, but the children themselves. For them this is not only a sad day, but a tragedy.
I will of course endeavour to keep my channel going and openly oppose these practices, I began when I met those who had suffered, along with them Bill Bowen.
My channel is now enabled for videos of more than 15 minutes, if I can I will Place Bill's full video, on my channel and hope that sometime somewhere, someone will request to make this film.
I hope that then the reporter of this newspaper can help locate the original copies and bring this movie into the full public arena. Maybe then some of the rotten and the corrupt will realise that they carry unwashed on their hands they have the blood of the innocents. Maybe in this life they have gained their fancy wardrobes, their trendy friends and their cosmetics, but in the next there is only place reserved for those who have knowingly and so carelessly handed children into the violent hands of the next set of abusers.
Damn The Govenrnment and damn the politicians for their duplicity in allowing the suffering of children to continue, by allowing any organisation to have autonomy without accountability.
As for Bill, peace now my friend, your struggle on this world is over. Rest, you more than deserve it!
i have never in my life met a man as brave, giving and real as Bill. He gave my family so much hope and closure for the future for our loss. Hope that some changes would be made, hope that accountability would be forced and things would change to prevent the deaths of other Innocent children. Bill was so compassionate willing to give his life for the cause, i asked him one day and he said yes what better cause then for the innocent. Please someone finish his work, step up and be human with a compassionate heart to change the system as we know it. Not all of it just the documentary we will pray for other angels to step into other places where Bill was so strong and knowledgeable. I truly believe Bill was an Angel sent to my family when I couldn't carry my single parent burden alone and all my children including the mother of Adrianna were having a hard time holding on to faith. I sent my deepest sympathy to his family who I hope embrace the fact that he gave so much.... but they were always near and dear to his heart even when seemingly so busy.; Their sacrifices of precious time with him has meant so much to my family and myself.
