Child Protective Services caseworker caught and arrested in truancy sweep

Kcra.com is reporting that thirty-one people were arrested today in Sacramento County, California during a truancy sweep. One of the people arrested was a Child Protective Services worker whose child was regularly truant. That's ironic since Child Protective Services often charges people with educational neglect when their children are truant. They often charge homeschoolers with educational neglect, even when they are following the state guidelines for homeschooling.

In my area of upstate New York, parents in Albany have been arrested for their children's truancy. In fact, in most of the counties here, the DA's office has become part of the "solution" to truancy. But as I have written elsewhere, education at the point of a gun is not really education. And if you watch the video on kcra.com, you will see that the statement "education at the point of a gun" is not an exaggeration. Large numbers of police in Sacramento went from house to house, heavily armed with guns and tasers, looking for kids playing hookey.

While regular readers of my articles might find this hard to believe, I actually feel some sympathy for this CPS worker. Often parents deliver their children to the front door of the school, only to find out later that they went through the school and out the back door. Charging parents for the truancy of their children, at least their middle school and high school children is misguided.

I only hope now that this Child Protective Services worker has been arrested for her child's truancy, she will have some empathy for the people she investigates in the future.

So we have at least 31 people stupid enough to open their door to a government worker? Send those kids to school , so they will at least learn their 4th amendment rights. Don't open your door!

You are right on target about High Schoolers walking out the back door!

Parents have been DISEMPOWERED by a SYSTEM which guarantees jobs for *caseworkers * who investigate families.

And yes, I too, empathize with the caseworker.

CPS first of all is the most corrupt group of misfits that ever walked the face of the world. Many of them are child molesters and rapist hiding under the sheet of what most would like to think is a government agency that is out to protect children. The issue is that there is a lot of money at stake in the racket of 'protecting' the children. It is loaded with corruption with NO actual over sight. They are supposed to 'police' themselves. Any normal adult knows what the word 'bias' means and how that applies here in every possible meaning of that word. Workers who abuse the system for their own agenda are never removed and often just promoted.

There is a real incentive to be employed by CPS, you get easy access to young vulnerable children who they can torture, rape and molest while being afforded full immunity in most cases. Many CPS workers are young females that have NO experience or educational qualifications what so ever. The majority do not have children of their own
