“Republicans talking to Republicans” is a popular literary phrase. For millions of people in Orange County it is also a way of life. They flocked to hear popular Republican news commentator and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee speak at a special appearance at the Richard Nixon Library in Yerba Buena on Sunday night.

The appearance was part of Huckabee’s 2010 Book Tour. Coming directly from the Los Angeles Auto Show, the similarities to a test drive were easy to observe. The admiring crowd and frequent photo ops with the Presidential aura of this Presidential landmark are ideally suited to politics in the age of social networking. Hundreds of enthusiastic fans had their pictures taken with Huckabee smiling with Presidential memorabilia in the background.

This enthusiasm was quite genuine, inspired mainly by Huckabee’s own likeability and approachability. Visitor Charles Rhee came to the Nixon Library for the first time, saying “I’m here because Huckabee represents my views.” Huckabee spent most of the evening meeting with visitors personally as they lined up to have him sign their copy of his Christmas themed book “Can’t Wait ‘Til Christmas.” If you have ever attended a book signing at a large bookstore, you would notice an important difference. This looked a lot more like a market research survey, with Huckabee taking the time to listen to candid conversations from hundreds of Americans about what they would like America’s future to look like. This highly personal approach to test driving a possible presidential campaign was a good match for the content of Huckabee’s book, which shares lessons about the importance of patience.

Huckabee’s short formal talk sounded very much like a “stump speech” on a Presidential campaign. He made a lot of friends with the Examiner.com community by praising citizen journalists. His praise did not extend to the journalists at the New York Times, whom he criticized for publishing confidential government documents apparently obtained through hacking government computers. He was even less flattering about Nancy Pelosi, whom he addressed with the phrase, “You’re fired.”

Huckabee took the test drive concept on another track, expressing hope that his party’s gains in dozens of state legislatures would result in testing new political solutions. He make a noticeable effort to take the high road, commending the audience to raise standards to challenge people to be better. He took this opportunity to criticize the series of government bailouts for which America is now world famous, chastising the programs as “rewards for jobs poorly done.” And commencing the season of Joy and Peace, Huckabee coached the large crowd to support the policy of “Peace through Strength.”

Mike Huckabee is going to be the candidate for 2012 and I have several reasons to believe that.
    1) Usually if the runner up from the previous election runs they become the candidate and the next president
    2) He now has a huge group of supporters which will donate when the time comes, along with more personal funds to use if necessary
    3) There are a lot of big money social conservatives that seriously regretted not supporting him in 2008
    4) He has been quietly spreading his views all over Fox News since the last election
    5) He is already polling as most likely to beat Obama
    6) His common sense approach to the economy and politics in general will allow him to crush Obama in debates

Watch out liberals, Mike Huckabee will be our next president and along with the growing number of TEA Party conservatives in Congress he is going to bring sweeping change to DC.

2013 is going to be a great year for America!
1)The income tax and the IRS will be replaced with the FairTax
2)Obamacare will be repealed and replaced with market based reforms
    3) The economy will spring back to life once company profits are no longer taxed
    4) With income no longer a source of government revenue, class warfare and wealth redistribution will end
    5) Exports will be able to easily compete against imports since both will be taxed at the same rate
    6) The tax lobby will be out of business because there is no reason for companies to pay for tax favors if they no longer get taxed
    7) As the economy comes back to life and excessive spending ends our federal revenue will increase, deficits will be eliminated and debt will begin to decrease.

2012 is going to be a good year which will see the end of big government and 2013 is going to be the best year for America since 1913 when the income tax was created. I can't wait!

Governor Huckabee is the obvious choice for Americans in 2012. I believe we will see a landslide victory for the Republicans because Governor Huckabee has character, integrity, experience and common sense governing and he walks his talk.

One of Gov. Huckabee's most important qualities that America needs desperately right now in a President, is the ability to relate to people from all walks of life and beliefs. He proved that in Arkansas, making huge improvements as a Republican Governor in a heavily Democratic state. After 10 years in office he left with a high approval rating, which is extremely rare. America needs a President who understands the needs of the people and can unite us as "One Nation Under God". Since division has torn us apart and the constant bickering keeps us from getting fixed. Secondly, he is also very well traveled, and understands world events hot spots and the importance of maintaining trusted allies for our National Security.
