Bruce Troxell has been a “car guy” for most of his life. The automotive seed was planted as a child by helping his father take care of the family’s 1951 Plymouth and when he discovered the world of sports cars and racing in college his life was forever redirected. While an avid Corvette fan, he is passionate about a variety of cars and the people behind them. He is a veteran of driving schools, concours’, cruise-ins and vintage car rallies such as the Copperstate 1000, the Carolina Trophy, the Texas 1000 and the Mountain Mille. He has an engineering degree, a law degree and a slightly off-kilter sense of humor, and brings a unique perspective to his writings about Corvettes, sports cars and the people who design and drive them. Mr. Troxell and his wife Cindy have an elderly cat named Ellie Mae who is kind enough to let them live with her in Annandale, Virginia.
