Libertarians, Independents, Republicans and Democrats have come together to express their anger over the outrageous way that their taxpayer dollars are being spent in this country. With each thousand page bill that is brought before Congress – the Non-stimulus, the pork-ridden Omnibus, Cap & Trade and now the Healthcare bill - more and more people are becoming aware of exactly what is and has been going on in Washington D.C. and frankly they have had it. They are now letting it be known to the White House and members of Congress through Tea Parties, Town Hall meetings, emails, phone calls, faxes and petitions.
The liberals absolutely cannot stand it – sites like Dailykos, mediamatters, many Democrats, liberal bloggers and people like Rachel Maddow are claiming that the protesters at these Town Hall meetings are ‘manufactured protesters’. Gibbs even had the nerve to say these people are feigning ‘manufactured anger’. This is utterly and completely outrageous. These are every day Americans who are absolutely sick and tired of politicians – on both sides - ignoring what the voters want and what is best for them and simply voting along party lines, regardless of the ramifications to the taxpayers. Neither the Left nor Obama seem to get it – we are in a serious recession and all people see coming out of Congress and the White House are ways to ridiculously spend even more of their hard-earned money. Not to mention more government control over individual rights.
What is truly hypocritical is that the same people whining about the protests and condemning Americans, who are involved in any protests, never say a word about the TRULY manufactured ACORN protests. Not a negative word was mentioned about ACORN protesting at the homes of AIG executives who received bonuses after TARP bailouts that were approved by the government (why didn’t ACORN protest at Capitol Hill?) by the Left. I do not recall those protesters protesting against ‘evil capitalism’ at the homes of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac executives who received even more bonus money that the AIG executives. As a matter of fact, the media made a huge deal out of the very small protests by ACORN yet has either outright ignored the Tea Parties that continually go on around the country or lie about the number of people attending or why they are attending. The liberal media glorify ACORN yet admonish ‘regular’ Americans.
It is typical of liberals and the liberal media to skew and actually lie about anything and anyone who does not agree with their agenda. Rather than admitting that the people protesting are ordinary Americans from all walks of life, they would prefer to label these people as those that are like liberal protesters – ‘manufactured’. ACORN protesters get paid for protesting, which is ironic because in many cases they are protesting problems they helped cause in the first place such as mortgage foreclosures on people given ‘bad mortgages’. You can see from their protests that they use the same printed signs and wear the same printed ACORN t-shirts. Yet at the Town Hall meetings and Tea Parties you see something much different. You see individuals thinking for themselves.
People who are sick of the outrageous government spending make their own signs with their own opinions. People have become informed and are speaking up. Americans from all walks of life have decided that enough is enough and are letting Congress and the White House know about it. Since the Left is used to being the side that actually protests ‘things’, they simply cannot believe that regular Americans would get out on their own and protest Obama’s far left liberal ideologies and policies as well as Congress’ insane spending. It is a conundrum for them that these are not manufactured protests. I’m sure some organizations are setting things up (I personally have not seen this) but the majority of these protests that actually occur on a weekly basis are word of mouth from every-day-Americans who have had it with the antics in D.C. by their own representatives and the rest of Congress.
More Americans than ever who have never in their lives protested have finally become sick of government spending (this includes the spending and voting by Republicans). The Left likes to make up the lie that these protests are ‘GOP Thuggery’. If that is true then why have Republicans been booed off the stages at some of the Tea Parties? Why are Democrats also involved in the protests? The biggest fear the Left is facing right now is that regular Americans can think for themselves. They are not paid to protest like liberals nor are they told what to protest or why. The liberal lies that are being spun all over the internet, television, radio and print newspaper are truly hypocritical and a serious abomination. All they are doing is adding fuel to the fire.

This administration (and the cheerleading media) is starting to become a national embarrassment. My fear is that they are trying to put out a small fire with a barrel of gun powder by asserting the mischaracterization that somehow public antipathy to government-run health care is an extremist-Republican-manufactured campaign. As a brand marketing consultant I was shocked to see White House communications director and former ABC News correspondent, Linda Douglas, attempt to defend a video of Obama explaining his desire to eliminate private insurance. Not only is such a ploy impotent for the cause, it has exactly the same affect as Burger King submitting a press release to describe that many of their kitchens are dirty and may lead to food poisoning. Honestly, the tone-deaf reaction this administration displays to dissent from ANY quarter is really beginning to worry me. I'm no fan of Obama by any stretch of the imagination, but even I'm astounded at how many constituencies he's managed to seriously annoy so far. At the rate he's going, he's gonna get a SERIOUS education in why a president's party always loses seats in the mid-terms. Let us hope that is ALL their stupidity causes. The problem with this article is it ignores the facts.
FACT: Conservative "grassroots" organizations funded by people like Newt Gingrich have been busing protestors and given them instructions on how to disrupt town halls.
FACT: Poll numbers show Americans are overwhelmingly in support of a public option for health care.
FACT: Obama's poll numbers have fallen, but so have the numbers of Democrats and especially the Republicans. Currently, Obama has the most positive polling numbers with Democrats in second and Republicans at a distant third.
FACT: The Tea Party Protests have had remarkably small turnout. This is not the "national outrage" the Right is trying to paint it as.
So either the Obama administration has managed to falsify all this information and data or the right is lying about it. And given that these are the same people who have bought into Orly Taitz's Birther scam, I'm not surprised morons like you are falling for the lies.
Also, one more thing to add. Given that it was the RIGHT, not the Left, who spent the past eight years lying about the war, lying about torture, and generally expanded their power and took a pair of scissors to the Constitution, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to imagine that they're lying now.
But of course, you people probably still believe Obama is a secret Muslim and that WMDs were discovered in Iraq.

Clueless, Kimberly, or carefully orchestrated? Part of the reason they are so quick to assume that some big group is paying to bus people in is that is how THEY do business. I've seen them in action at several events I've been to around the country.
There has even been the occasional scandal where it was proven that one liberal politician or another used tax dollars to bus people somewhere to protest. I've never yet seen a credible case where that happened with their opposition.
