On Tuesday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticized the plan to burn a pile of Qurans this Saturday by a Florida pastor, calling it a “disrespectful, disgraceful act.”
She made the remarks at a State Department dinner held in observance of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center, an evangelical church in Gainesville, Fla., is holding what he calls “International Burn a Quran Day” this weekend. The action has evoked widespread condemnation from Muslim leaders and resulted in more than 100 death threats, according to Jones.
While Secretary Clinton has seen fit to voice her disgust with an American citizen who wants to lawfully express his defiance of what he sees as the attempted Muslim domination of the West, then-Senator Clinton had no such words for Muslims burning Bibles in Gaza.
In June 2007, Muslims burst into the Rosary Sister School and convent, breaking crosses and a statue of Jesus. They also burned prayer books as well as the building itself.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Palestinian gunmen used rocket-propelled grenades to blow open the church’s doors.
Father Manuel Musalam told the Associated Press that every cross in the complex had been destroyed, as the Muslim crowd “desecrated” the convent.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas even condemned the attack on the Christian community in Gaza as “barbaric and despicable.”
Abbas said: “The torching of the church is one of the fruits of the bloody coup that Hamas staged in the Gaza Strip.”
Many of the approximately 2,500 Christians living in Gaza at the time of the attack were forced to leave out of fear for their lives.
Of course, not Hillary Clinton, nor Eric Holder, nor General David Petraeus, all of whom have condemned Pastor Jones’ protest, ever offered a word of condemnation for the unlawful attack on the Christians.
Predictably, the mainstream press gave nearly no coverage to the violent event. However, CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News cannot stop talking about a Christian pastor of a 50-member church who wants to burn Qurans which he purchased, with the event taking place inside his own parking lot.

Our freedom of speech gaurantees The Pastors right to burn the Koran. Terrorists around the world would have you submit through intimidation rather than discuss a matter. It seems this is what Islam is doing now. There have been over one hundred death threats. If the Pastor does not go ahead with his plan, we all lose. If the Mosque is built, again, we lose. America must never let Muslims run over our country and values. We cannot let our country turn into another London, or France where Muslims are creating slums and demanding Sharia law be implemented.
I am tottaly gobsmacked at what is happening here - why is every country in the world bending over backwards to pander to the needs of the muslims. Whats happened to protecting our rights and our values? America and Brittain are allowing these people free speach and a good way of life and anything they dont agree with they say they want to kill us. Are we worth less as christians than muslims? Or is it that we dont go around shouting kill the non beleiver at everything we dont agree with that makes us lesser human beings. Christians, Catholics, Muslims and all comers fought and died for the rights of the whole of humanity not just for muslims. If we went to those countries and said we want to build a church or start ranting about christianity how long do you think we would survive - 5mins perhaps 10- Wake up and smell the coffee, yes we have multicultural countries and societies, but these people must not be allowed to tell us how our countries should be run or how we should think and their feelings and beleifs must not be put before our rights - our views and our beleifs. No man is better or worth more than any other - no religion is greater than another - We all have one life - live it in harmony
There are many restrictions against the few Christians living in Muslim countries, but there is no condemnation against those nations, no breaking of diplomatic relations with those nations, no travel restictions for Americans traveling to those nations, no sanctions against those nations for violations of Human Rights for those nations, and no restrictions on foreign Muslim students studying at our universities for those nations. What we have in America is a President and Secratary of State that could be classified as totally out of touch with reality when it comes to knowledge of foreign affairs or the history of other countries. Its no wonder America is in a state of decline. Look at all the dummies that have been governing this nation for the last 100 years.

Non Muslims have rights too - lets stop pussy footing about and make a stand. The pastor sounds like a prat, but hes making a stand and for that he should be supported. The Muslims wanting a mosque at ground zero are wanting a fight - well lets give them one. A mosque anywhere but there is what I say and preferably in their own county from now on. We must at last make a stand.

These riots and brutal murders by fanatical Muslims over the Quran burning by a two-bit pastor typify behavior of a brain-washed, ignorant, backward culture. Similar riots occured when Muslim soldiers in British-ruled India were told that waxed paper packaged gun powder charges which were opened with their teeth had been treated with pork fat therefore they wouldn't go to heaven. Some muslims are also known to burn Bibles and Torahs. Should Christians and Jews go on a senseless, murderous rampage? "Islam, the religion of peace" (and terrorism)?
