A new Gallup poll shows that the Tea Party movement best reflects the racial composition of the country (which only matters because liberals incessantly point out that Tea Partiers are largely white).
From CNS:
According to Gallup, 75 percent of the U.S. population is non-Hispanic White, while 11 percent are non-Hispanic black, and 15 percent belong to other races. Meanwhile, 79% of Tea Party movement supporters are non-Hispanic white, while 6 percent are non-Hispanic black, and 15 percent belong to other races.
Compare this with the racial composition of Obama's supporters and you will quickly begin to see who is actually out of step with Mainstream America here (and who is basing their actions on race). As I have noted, the left's habitual need to undermine, smear and race-bait this movement says more about liberals than it does about the Tea Partiers...and it's beginning to backfire.
The poll also found that almost a third of voters (28%) now expressly support the Tea Parties (while the overwhelming majority agree with them on the issues). Additionally, Gallup found that the Tea Parties are a microcosm of the country on "age, educational background, employment status."
In other words, everything liberals have been telling us is false.

Liberals' most fundamental principles are based on lies. Why should they stop there? The funny thing is, they are the first to spew epithets of "flat-Earther," "racist," tin-foil hatters," and the like when rational people raise legitimate, irrefutable concerns.
Ultimately, Liberalism is the political ideology for petulant children to justify their surly obstinancy toward reality -- and the rest of us are expected to pick up the tab for their denial. I say, let them eat cake and see if they still can have it too -- just not on my dime.
You live up to the name 'Duh!"
"Liberalism is the political ideology for petulant children to justify their surly obstinancy toward reality -- and the rest of us are expected to pick up the tab for their denial."
Coming from someone who supports those that ride around in free medical scooters telling the government to keep their hands 'off my Medicare'; A person who seems to side with those that claim [despite percentages and facts to the contrary-including statements from our forefathers] we're a 'Christian Nation' a claim that has an clearly anti-American exclusionary tone. You support those that want a smaller government with less intrusion yet continue to support [and refuse to even consider amending] two of the biggest political and money losers of the last 30 years: The anti-choice movement and the War on Drugs. You do realize that both of those ENLARGE government control and COST TAXPAYERS MONEY?? Right?
You claim to be 'taxed enough already' when the real people taking your money and filling you up with statistical. misleading garbage like this are wallowing in your tax dollars and want to put YOU in the economic slave bin as well. Potholes on major thoroughfares, schoolbooks twice as old as the students, public libraries shut down-shall I continue?
"Ultimately, Liberalism is the political ideology for petulant children to justify their surly obstinancy toward reality." Can you be anymore condescending? My God. I can tell your s**t doesn't stink. And you don't even have the balls to post using your own name. You're a true conservative, alright! LOL
Robert - Your selective quotations are always amusing. Other quotes from the same Gallup poll:
"Tea Party supporters skew right politically; but demographically, they are generally representative of the public at large."
"...87% of Tea Party supporters -- versus 50% of all Americans -- say they consider passage of healthcare reform a bad thing."
"Nearly two-thirds consider themselves 'pro-life' on the abortion issue, compared with 46% of all national adults."
Tom,
Yeah, how silly of me to only quote the article's statements on race when doing an article on race. Did you not notice the title?
Did you notice that you think that just a simple extra 4% of white people in the party [75% pop to 79% TP] isn't that many [the basis 330 million] or think before you gave you exact percentages of the TEA Party make up, challenged us to "[c]ompare this with the racial composition of Obama's supporters and you will quickly begin to see who is actually out of step with Mainstream America here" without providing other percentages.
This article is pandering insufficient claptrap that only feeds the angry and the blind.
You convoluted argument starts with the notion that Liberals mislead people in stating the TEA party is mostly white and you confirm this with a Gallup poll.
I hear water is wet, too, professor. Look into that as well. Once you remove your head from your hind quarters.
Yes, I noticed the title. However, you have a habit of writing a title that doesn't match the main theme of your article. So I pretty much ignore it and try to figure out what your main point is.
The main point of your article was that the Tea Party represents mainstream American views (e.g., "you will quickly begin to see who is actually out of step with Mainstream America here"). You used the racial composition findings of the survey as a proxy for the assertion that the Tea Party most closely represents the views of the average American. However, just because the racial makeup of two groups is similar does not mean that the beliefs/attitudes of the groups are similar. The other survey results that I quoted show that point well.
You should also consider that the survey shows 75% non-white Hispanic as the All US Adults number. That number is off (it's more like 65%), so there is reason to think the other results may not be completely representative.
roll #2770 Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, I get tired of the "chosen few" that proport to represent me. I have been a conservative since I returned from the soviet union in 1983. We beat their red bottoms on Wide World of Sports (as a member of the US International Boxing Team). America is a center-right country. The enomoly before us represents the people that get their information from the Provda Press in our country. That has changed, remember New Jersey and Mass? People, fortunatly, are suckers for the truth.
You are lying.
Simple one-prop z-interval of Gallup's own data about the Tea Party shows....
Tea Party males 55% +/- 3%, Blacks 6% +/- 1.5%.
Since the US population is not in these intervals, there is a statistically significant difference between the Tea Party and the US population.
Try again for the big time when you learn a little math.
Show me a non-white Tea Partier and then I might consider believing this tripe.
Adam West of Florida stands up to the liberals all the time. He is black.
Isn't that black pizza dude a teabagger?
Dave from Ohio,
Virginia Fuller. She is a black woman who organizes the Richmond California Tea Party.
And here are some pictures, in case that's not enough:

You are failing to comprehend what you read. The claim: Tea Parties best reflect the racial composition of the country...better than Republicans or Democrats.
Tea Parties: 79% white, 6% black, 15% other minorities.
America: 75% white, 11% black, 15% other minorities.
Not rocket science. Grasp it yet?
Wayne: "Try again for the big time when you learn a little math."
Ditto.
Gee Mr. Moon...tell us again about Rocket Science.
Here's some math for you; A 4% difference in white people in the TP = approx.13.2 million. I'm sure it looks a lot neater [and is certainly an easier form of propaganda pabulum to dispense] when stating only 4%.
Obfuscation using the tactic of statistics. I notice you have a tendency to ignore that which does NOT support your theories and have, in the past, gone as far as to dismiss polls in that realm.
And before you go off on some defensive rant; 1] I'm a registered Libertarian and; 2] I take any [so-called] journalist to task-whichever wing they claim to represent. The problem with the TEA Party is that their platforms are as convoluted as their tactics are devious.
Tom: "The main point of your article was that the Tea Party represents mainstream American views..."
Wrong. Learn how to comprehend what you read.
That's not surprising, seeing as the Tea Party is made up of Stormfront, CofCC, KKK, and John Birch Society nuts. When it comes to Obama's supporters, those that AREN'T in those "clubs" tend to gravitate to him. The white supremacist ideology hasn't had such an opportunity as this to become popular again since 1965. Never saw so many of them openly running for office UNDER THE TEA PARTY BANNER before Obama became President.
Oh, and Herman Cain is (again, not surprising) hardly EVER mentioned in those "polls" that keep popping up about the GOP candidates. That's because everyone (except him, apparently) knows he's just there to keep it from looking like a Klan rally.
And yeah.. I know.. "Rev. Wright!" "Senator Byrd!" *chuckle*
Right, Obama supporters instead are La Raza, New Black Panther, Mexica Movement, etc. non-white supremacists, and they have 10 times the number of members than the racist groups you mention.
"In other words, everything liberals have been telling us is false."
Yeah, keep telling yourself that Robbie. Maybe repeating it over and over again will just magically make it come true some day. It hasn't worked with that "trickle down economy" or "Obama is from Kenya" crap, but hey, go ahead, try it with that big load of bull as well.
Gallup polls mean next to nothing because they were conducted via telephone surveys, which means there's nothing to stop some old rich white guy from telling the person on the other line "Why yes, I am indeed a young uneducated black man who supports the Tea Party. What of it?"
Here's a real challenge: Go to an actual Tea Party and count all the non-whites (that weren't payed to be there) and see what kind of results you really get.
How can we "Compare this with the racial composition of Obama's supporters" when you don't provide that data? And if 11% of the general population are non-hispanic black, and only6% of the tea party are non-hispanic black, then that's an index of 55 - meaning it only reflects about half of that demographic group. Meaning it's not at all representational of that group.
I thought you were an "award-winning media researcher" - that must have been a boobie prize if you don't know basic statistical application.
aaahhhhhh you teabaggers do a good enough job of making yourselves look like fools. You don't have a snowballs chance in hell in winning the presidency. America was founded by men who did not want to be relegated to one state religion or ideology.....Deal with it, stop spewing lies Robert.
You don't think the founding father's drive to end government tyranny and intrusion was an "ideology"? You know the idea which brought about that Revolution thing?
Oh, and we are not "teabaggers", you vulgar debased progressives are.
Since when is 28% "almost" a third? Seems closer to a quarter, doesn't it? You don't do your cause any favors when you skew mathematics.
Everybody sees what they want to. I could just as easily point out that the non-Hispanic black make-up is barely over half what it is for the nation at large.
Got something to say?
