Over the past several days new information has come to light regarding a previously reported story on a scandal at the ATF (Bureau of Achohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives)--an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice--involving the smuggling of U.S. guns into Mexico in order to pad statistics to 'prove' that American guns are arming the Mexican drug cartels. One of those guns was allegedly used to kill a U.S. border patrol agent. On Wednesday of this week, CBS News did an investigative report on the facts discovered by National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea and blogger Mike Vangerboegh. In addition, Fox News Channel aired 2 separate reports, one of which contained an interview with Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt. Further, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is investigating the scandal as the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and calls have been issued to the U.S. House of Representatives to launch a similar investigation into the agency.

In addition to the continally developing story as indicated by the facts cited above, gun rights advocate and blogger Mike Vanderboegh uncovered evidence, reported on Wednesday, indicating that the ATF bribed a gun dealer near the U.S.-Mexican border to make questionable sales to individuals involved in the gun-running into Mexico scheme. The bribe is particularly troublesome when the motive comes into focus. The ATF apparently paid the gun dealer to make questionable sales and aid shady characters in making 'straw purchases' so that the agency could then claim it needed to more closely scrutinize all gun purchases, even by those who abide by the law and are not suspected of any wrong-doing.
The investigation into these developments by Senator Grassley, however, has reached a brick wall. The Holder-Obama Justice Department has responded to Grassley's requests for information with complete stonewalling. So far Holder has refused to supply any pertinent information at all to Senator Grassley. But according to Codrea, the new information uncovered by Vanderboegh could drastically expand the Senator's investigation, leading to an eventual showdown of historic proportions between Congress and the Justice Department.
The last time such a confrontation took place was in 1974 during the Nixon-Watergate hearings. Nixon's coverup of the Watergate break-in resulted in Congressional investigations duirng which several Nixon appointees, including Attorney-General John Mitchell, engaged in a concerted effort to stonewall the House commitee.
Mitchell was later forced to resign amid the scandal, and the entire Nixon White House eventually crumbled.
A complete, aggressive investigation into the Holder Justice Department is sorely needed now that it has been disclosed that a highl level official within the DOJ gave his approval to the illegal scheme involving U.S. guns in Mexico.

The next step for the MSM is to anger the people to rise up, and with the hard earned division they caused, will get their civil war going and give the government an excuse to use their new toys on us and all those empty fema camps.

Besides, the ATF is an unconstitutional outfit and is rampant with unamerican activities and corruption. This is terrorism in its true definition, using lies and intimidation to alter the politics.

The federal government is the biggest terrorist on the planet. Just another indicator of what they do to trick you into giving the power of the people over to the government. They want subjects, not citizens.
Lets not forget 9/11, to scare the people into giving up their rights, proof in the pudding is the patriot act that is used on we the people more than any terrorists, and it was written well before 9/11, but they needed "a new pearl harbor' to get that piece of tyranny through.
