Are all Muslims terrorists?

Of the Juan Williams affair there are three viewpoints in which two are actual.  The first is that it’s quite understandable to feel uncomfortable when someone in Muslim garb enters a plane not because all Muslims are terrorists but terrorists who blow up planes are Muslims.  The second goes into the politically correct column and suggest that Williams is being “islamophobic” by pegging all Muslims as terrorist even if its just in a roundabout way.

The third viewpoint is the crux of the matter and it is the one virtually no one in the media harbors. unless they are irrational, and that is all Muslims are terrorists.   Irrational because if true there would be a terrorist incident in every town every day of the week.   Anyone to suggest this would be quickly out of a job and become a national pariah and quickly fired.

That doesn’t stop the morally elite from suggesting that islamophobia is pervasive and a growing trend.  The problem is they have trouble finding it  so they search for gotcha moments as they did with Juan Williams.   What is most important is not routing out the phobic this or that crowd but to be seen as the person doing it and then make a grand spectacle in the process.  Juan Williams gotcha moment was during the  O’Reilly Factor during a discussion of Bill O’Reilly’s own gotcha moment when he simply stated on The View that the 9/11 terrorists were Muslim.   This prompt two of the hosts on the show to grab the spotlight and shine it brightly on themselves by walking off the set.   With Williams he was not only fired from National Public Radio but was given a parting shot by the elite in charge who said he was mentally unstable.  Another demonstration of look-at-me-the-intolerant.

A lighter criticism of Williams is the concession that he is not intolerant but feeds into the trend.   For this the Hartford Courant editorialized that his words were “ill-conceived”  and “insensitive” they go on:

We wish Mr. Williams hadn't shared his misgivings about Muslim passengers on the O'Reilly show. He should have realized that his remarks would feed the dangerous Islamophobia now afoot in this country. As a seasoned observer of the American scene, he should have known better.

Just where this “dangerous Islamophobia” is the Courant does not say.  That Williams himself had said during The Factor that all Muslims are not extremists ought to have given the paper some pause and consider that it’s a stretch that someone who is not being stereotypical of Muslims will hear this and then join the ranks of the Islamophobic.  Baring this just what was so insensitive about what Williams said?  If someone witnessed a red sedan leaving the scene of a crime police will be on a look-out for all red sedans not because all red sedans are driven by criminals but because of that particular make and model one happens to be a criminal.  Is that being insensitive to all red sedan drivers?

The eight hundred pound gorilla in the room is that it is the extremist in the Islamic ranks-the terrorists themselves- who believe that those who don’t adhere to their ideology ought to be put to death.   What is the more pressing danger, islamaphobia in the ranks of non-Muslims or everyone-who-isn’t-us-phobia within the Muslim community?  John Mertens, a professor of Engineering (oh, does that make him an expert?) in Trinity College, who also happens to be a candidate for U.S Senate, spoke at what was called the “Muslim Coalition of Connecticut Interfaith Press Conference” on, of all things, “what it means to be an American“.  In the promo he states:

I urge everyone to watch the entire event on CT-N below. Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim clergy, and other community leaders, speak out against ignorance, fear, and prejudice. It was one of the most wonderful events I have ever experienced

Undoubtedly the ignorance, fear and prejudice was not directed at those who blow up planes and cars but supposedly towards the islamophoics amongst us.  Naturally it was THE most “wonderful event” he has ever experienced because it afforded him the opportunity to show his elite intolerance.  If fear and prejudice were as important as the promo says certainly it could have been treated as an equal opportunity vice and Islamic terrorist would have been mentioned at least once  .  Wouldn’t that be exhibit A?

There is a tell here.  Of the morally elite we are being told that the Tea Party movement is a racist organization and the reason for it is when there is a large  Tea Party demonstration there are few racist signs.  If it is correct not to indict an entire group of people for the sins of the few (and it is) why is it okay in this instance?   Perhaps it is because this is the disposition of the morally elites in the first place, therefore if their minds work this way, so does everyone else’s.   Are you seeing a pattern?

When JofT gets on this Blog he will try to defend NPR for their vile elitism. To the Liberals they will defend free speech unless you disagree with them. Then you get fired or are deemed mentally unstable. Just remember God doesn't like ugly.

To add more to this Blog, Just remember George Soros gave over 1 million dollars to NPR a week before Juan Williams was fired. He wanted NPR to hire reporters who have the same ideological bent as he does. He said it when he gave them the money. He did not want anyone on NPR to have any kind of Conservative leanings. What timing!.......Also disgusting!

Boy oh boy. The "critic" sees the following as "elitist".
" I urge everyone to watch the entire event on CT-N below. Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim clergy, and other community leaders, speak out against ignorance, fear, and prejudice. It was one of the most wonderful events I have ever experienced."

Wow! Mustn't try for tolerance. Only a "liberal" would want that. The "critic" is far superior for pointing that out. Wow! Again.

According to Tex, McVeigh was a Muslim. Boy oh boy, those Conservatives know all. They even know what God likes. Wow!
    Never argue with ignorance!

  • The point here is that the tolerance crowd ignores the people that likes to blow up planes and cars. I think the next step here would be to have a bird over an off color remark by someone and when the next terrorist attack occurs the line will be, "well, I don't agree with what they did but I understand the anger". I have yet to see a "community awareness" event that deals with Muslim intolerance. This is why all the lofty discussions on tolerance becomes hollow and I dare say fraudulent.

Boy oh boy. I hate people who blow up planes and do terrorist deeds. I hate them whether they are Muslims or not.
Gee, I guess it's OK to be tolerant now. But I won't be lofty.
The "critic" should read the responses he gets. Like all right wing radicals he gives them permission to be ignorant as long as they vote for right wing radicals. That's the pattern.

Is Islamophobia much different from Christianophobia or Hebrewophobia or illegalmexicanophobia? People love playing with words with no concern as to how they affect actual people.
    I hope that wasn't lofty.
