Mike Vinikour has been writing about music in one form or another since 1985 when at the age of 15 he started his own punk rock fanzine called "Spontaneous Combustion". The zine ran for about 12 years and then became a website. Since then he has written for Punk Planet and started a new site called The Punk Vault where he reviews and photographs concerts in Chicago as well as reviews records and DVDs. Twenty-five years after first writing about music, his passion for it has never waned and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
