A look at the 2011 University of Colorado football recruiting class

 Paulay Asiata 6’5”, 295 lbs, OG, Honolulu, HI, ESPN Grade: 76/100

The New Zealand native is the 58th best offensive guard in the country, according to the ESPN rankings.  His high school’s offense averaged 411.4 yards, 246.4 of which came on the ground, and 40.8 points per game during his senior season.  The team went 11-1 and won the state championship.

Jermane Clark 6’2”, 205 lbs, ATH, Winston-Salem, NC, ESPN Grade: 45/100

This versatile player saw time at running back, safety, and outside linebacker during his senior season at the Oak Ridge Military Academy, helping his team to a 10-0 record.  There is a very good chance that Clark will get a look at outside linebacker when he gets to Boulder.

Malcolm Creer 5’11”, 200 lbs, RB, Los Angeles, CA, ESPN Grade: 45/100

This possible education major rushed for 1,270 yards and 19 touchdowns, while catching four passes for 93 yards during his senior season.  Creer also played defense, recording 47 tackles, three interceptions, and five pass break-ups.

Brady Daigh 6”2”, 235 lbs, LB, Littleton, CO, ESPN Grade: 73/100

Daigh tallied 141 tackles (six for loss), five sacks, and two interceptions to help J.K. Mullen to the Colorado class 5A state championship.

Stevie Joe Dorman 6’4”, 210 lbs, QB, Somerset, TX, ESPN Grade: 72/100

Dorman passed for 9,253 career passing yards in high school, good enough to set a San Antonio area record for that stat.  He also connected for 94 touchdowns and a career passer rating of 158.0.  Stevie Joe was named to the first-team of the Texas Academic All-State team as a senior.

Woodson Greer 6’2”, 225 lbs, LB, Carson, CA, ESPN Grade: 74/100

The future physical therapist recorded 281 tackles and 12.5 sacks during his high school career.  Greer’s team went 14-1 but lost the state championship his senior season.

Rashad Hall 6’0”, 200 lbs, RB, Roanoke, VA, ESPN Grade: 77/100

Another commit from the Oak Ridge Military Academy rushed for 3,376 yards and 42 touchdowns over his high school career.  He, too, is planning on becoming a physical therapist when is time at CU is over.

Will Harlos 6’4”, 200 lbs, DB, Somerset, TX, ESPN Grade: 76/100

The ESPN scouts ranked Harlos as an inside linebacker but CUBuffs.com list his position at defensive back.  Will averaged 12.6 tackles a game during his senior season, and tallied 51 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 16 sacks.

Sherrard Harrington 6’1”, 175 lbs, DB, Washington, D.C., ESPN Grade: 77/100

As a senior, Harrington recorded 55 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions, two of which he took to the house.  His hobbies include modeling and acting.

Greg Henderson 5’11”, 185 lbs, DB, Corona, CA, ESPN Grade: 66/100

Henderson recorded 65 tackles, 13 pass break-ups and seven interceptions during his senior season.  During his free time he plays the drums and participates in a church program to help feed the homeless in the Los Angeles area.

Alex Kelley 5’3”, 295 lbs, C, Oceanside, CA, ESPN Grade: 75/100

Kelly anchored a line for an offense that averaged 34.2 points and 416.8 yards per game during his senior season.  He was born in Madrid, Spain and has spent time in Haiti helping earthquake victims and building an orphanage.

Marc Mustoe 6’7”, 280 lbs, OT, Broomfield, CO, ESPN Grade: 78/100

The number 2 prospect in Colorado chose to stay close to home over UCLA, Cal, Arizona State, and Notre Dame.

Stephan Nembot 6’8”, 280 lbs, DE, Van Nuys, CA, ESPN Grade: 78/100

Nembot is another of the class of 2011 born outside of the United States (Douala, Cameroon).  Rivals.com rated him as the No. 5 offensive tackle in California but expect to see him get time on the defensive line.

Will Oliver 5’11”, 185 lbs, PK, Los Angeles, CA, ESPN Grade: 75/100

For his career, Oliver went 16-23 on field goal attempts and a perfect 50-50 on PATs.  Eighty-five percent of his kick off attempts during his senior season went for a touchback.  Will also played viola for his high school’s symphony orchestra.

Juda Parker 6’2”, 245 lbs, DE, Aiea, HI, ESPN Grade: 75/100

Parker was one of the shining stars in the Army All-American game, recording six tackles, a fumble recovery, a blocked field goal, and sacking the kicker on a fake kick attempt.  He is planning on majoring in sports psychology.

Nelson Spruce 6’2”, 180 lbs, WR, Westlake Village, CA ESPN Grade: 75/100

The No. 10 wide receiver from California was the Marmonte League Wide Receiver of the Year both his junior and senior seasons.  He enjoys Xbox, lifting weights, and working out.

K.T. Tu’umalo 6’2”, 200 lbs, LB, Honolulu, HI, ESPN Grade: 68/100

This aspiring DJ tallied 97 tackles (18 for loss) and 12 sacks as a high school senior.  He has also spent time tutoring students at his former junior high school.

Kyle Washington 6’1”, 200 lbs, DB, Florence, AZ, ESPN Grade: 45/100

SuperPrep magazine ranked Kyle as the No. 21 player from Arizona.  He is interested in majoring in finance and lists his hobbies as fishing, going to the shooting range, and watching movies.

Brent Burnette 6’3”, 205 lbs, QB, Maryville, TN, JUCO Transfer

Burnette comes to Boulder after spending a year at Arizona Western College, where he threw for 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven games before suffering an injury that ended his season.  Brent is majoring psychology and is considering attending medical school.
