An angry mob attacked a black man outside a town hall meeting on healthcare in St. Louis last Thursday. The group was “invited” to the meeting by U.S. Representative Russ Carnahan (Dem., Mo.), who had a reserved seating section for them inside the hall, while security guards posted outside refused entry to members of the Tea Party Coalition.
Kenneth Gladney was exercising his First Amendment rights outside the hall, by handing out flyers with the revolutionary “Don’t Tread on Me” flag on the cover. Mr.Gladney also happens to be a black man. He was assaulted by a bunch of thugs from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), proudly wearing their union shirts with the SEIU logo. Most of the union thugs appeared to be white men.

Racist attack? Watch the video below, and judge for yourself. The Democrats planned to hold a series of town hall meetings across the country, during the congressional recess, to gin up support for President Obama’s government-run healthcare proposal. When folks at these meetings began asking pointed questions and voicing objections to the senators and congressmen out shilling for Obamacare, the Democrat reaction was swift.
The grassroots protesters were called “angry mobs,” and “Astroturf” (a reference to the claimed synthetic nature of the protest; not to the back of Bill Clinton’s boyhood pickup truck), and Nancy Pelosi accused them of “carrying swastikas.”

Kenneth Gladney
Not since the burning of the Reichstag Building has a party in power become so apoplectic. After this and other televised confrontations hit the evening news, senior White House adviser David Axelrod and deputy chief of staff Jim Messina met with a group of Democrat senators. They showed video clips of the town hall meetings, and told senators to make sure their own supporters turn out. Messina was quoted in Politico as saying: “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard.”
If you look up the term “fascism” in your dictionary, you will find: “A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.” And, what would you call a regime that nationalized the banks, the major manufacturing companies, and medical care, while sending out thugs to attack dissenting voices, and calling upon citizens to report dissenters to government officials? Democrat?

Liberals, Obama and the Main Stream Media don't care about this black man getting beaten because he's a "conservative" black man.
Conservative black men are called Uncle Toms and such by racist liberals.
Does anyone really think that Obama will give a #$%@ about Mr. Gladney getting beat up and put in the hospital?Mr Gladney is now wearing a cast.
Will Obama say that the SEIU acted "stupidly?" Don't hold your breath thinking that he will.
At hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2009/08/07/why-obamacare-goons-do-not-help-obamacare/ the article says that Big labor threatened to directly engage anti-Obamacare protestors (link from Huffpo), In St Louis and Tampa, ObamaCare supporters snuck into town halls through side doors to fill the front rows with SEIU drones, this is all out of the HCAN astroturf playbook, after the left falsely accuses the right of this.

And HHS Kathleen Sebelius told the SEIU to keep up the good work, too.
This is Chicago-style politics, and Obama knows it back and forward.
But Kenneth Gladney was walking and talking after the alleged attacks! See the video frame by frame:

Mr. Gladney clearly describes being assaulted initially by a black man, yet the title of this bogus and deceptive article uses "White union thugs".
And of course, this "great" piece of journalism appears almost at the top of google's news results for SEIU attack.
What pathetic and divisive lies you all tell.
Clearly the one union man did throw Gladney to the ground completely unnecessarily. We don't see at all what happened before that - only that there was another union man on the ground, while Gladney was standing up. Conservatives who jump all over Obama for his Gates comments sure are quick to label.
Do you deny that the insurance industry has spent millions of dollars to enable these protestors? And given many of them very specific tactics to disrupt these meetings? I see some fascism here but is sure seems to be at least as prevalent on the "right" as on the left. Dissent, discussion, disagreement are one thing but a coordinated (and yes it is coordinated) attempt to shut down debate is abhorrent.
They only thing that was coordinated was the mobilizing of violent union thugs to assault and intimidate those who disagree with this healthcare bill.
That the protesters showed up because of insurance companies is a CONSPIRACY THEORY: look at the youtube videos of the protesters: these are AVERAGE HARD WORKING AMERICANS.
The worst is that the left accuses the right of being divisive: then the lowly huffington post, in a most depraved and shameless display of repugnance cropped a picture of a guy holding up a sign so that you could only see his arm and they claimed it looked as if he was giving a h1tler salute.

Then Pelosi has the nerve to say they were carrying sw4stikas when the banners had BIG RED X'S through them!
These guys are cunning and deceitful to the core. They don't care about your health care- The health bill is a huge power grab!
Obama is the community organizer, he whips his activists up and sends them to the town halls.
The left has a long history of astroturfing, sending out protestors with high-quality signs and in mass numbers. Look at the signs of the town hall anti-ObamaCare protestors. Hand made!
The DNC emailed Obama supporters to go out to the town hall meetings, the White House told them to hit back twice as hard, Sebelius told the SEIU to keep up the good work, HCAN (astroturf par excellence) is apprently in on this, and yet liberals and the liberal media have the gall to call town hall protestors "astroturf?"
Please. The left has made an art out of accusing others of what they themselves do or are going to do.
Racist? Wow, only in America. Not racism here, just good ol fashion Chicago style politics from the atypical Community Organizer and a slanted media. Race wasn't the issue; poor legislation is.
If you look carefully, you can se that Gladney is thrown to the ground by a man wearing an SEIU shirt, and 3 seconds later Gladney back on his feet. Of importance, at the beginning of the video that I saw, there is already an SEIU member on the ground before Gladney is thrown. During the shouting afterward, you can hear someone (presumably an SEIU member) say about Gladney, "He attacked a minister!" Putting it all together, it sounds like Gladney knocked down a minister who was an SEIU member, and was attacked by a single SEIU member in retaliation.
I don't condone what the SEIU member did, but to say that Gladney was beaten up by an angry mob in an unprovoked attack is stretching the truth.

Greguva,
In situations like this, adrenaline is pumping and one does not always feel the pain - until later.
Gladney was treated at a hospital for multiple injuries, the hospital confirms this, and Gladney is now in a wheelcahir wearing a cast.
BTW, this should never have happened, because Obama ("Duh-1") - the community agitator - should never have sent the goon squad in in the first place.
Ray, you can go to a hospital and receive treatment for a stubbed toe if you want. And you can get a wheelchair at any hospital supply company. Those items prove nothing. And I have read no reports from the hospital confirming his injuries. If you have a link, please share it.
Obama did not send the SEIU. The SEIU members voted to go on their own.
Try to stick to the facts. Again, I'm not condoning violence on either side. But the hyperbole associated with this event is unbelievable and not supported by the available evidence.
P.S. He's not in a cast. And, again, if he were in a cast, that would prove nothing except that he has access to the same hospital supply company where he got his wheelchair.
FYI, the man who was on the ground at the beginning of the video has been identified as a minister, and has been reported as having a broken and dislocated shoulder (you can see him in the video holding his shoulder). Now, this may or may not be any more true than the reports of Gladney's injuries. And it's still not clear who actually started the ruckus - maybe the minister did. But we should make an effort to get the facts before jumping to conclusions.

You guys are so stretching it here. I saw the video and in it was NO indication of any "white thug gang" attacking an "innocent" man. Your assumptions are baseless and you have absolutely NO evidence to back up your assertions. You should be ashamed of yourselves, I am betting your mothers are proud of you for being such avid liars.
