Top academics admit evolution is 'unproven, unprovable', belief in Creator is 'unthinkable' - WND

World Net Daily* reports on a bus load of hot topics covered in the latest issue of Whistle Blower magazine - Hijacking Science.

The short version - there's a lot of misplaced trust in the scientific establishment. (Agreed! There is no end to the pseudo-christian as well.) but that doesn't negate the fact that bad science is still bad science.

Here's a very partial list of the some of topics that Whistle Blower goes after:

"Top academics admit evolution is 'unproven and unprovable,' but say it's the only alternative to believing in a Creator, which they find "unthinkable"?

"'Politics rules bioscience, too" by Jack Cashill, who exposes blatant anti-religion bias at the Smithsonian

"'Why academics embrace evolution' by Marylou Barry, who quotes top scientists and intellectuals admitting the truth: 'I do not want to believe in God.'"

"'The evolutionist's comical dogma'" by Alan Keyes, who asks why 'dogmatic emotionalism' dominates the supposedly scientific inquiry into the origins of life."

and, and....more here.

And to think that so many folk thought only global warming 'science' was fraught with deception.

Can you hear the whistle?

Bill do you sit around thinking 'oh no my blog isn't getting enough hits, how can stir up something for attention?'

The link you gave doesn't provide any information on what you claim.

I mean right off the bat you can tell they are full of it because they pretend that religious people don't believe in science. The science is full of Christians and people of all faiths. So they are dishonestly trying to portray otherwise.

Who are these people Mary Lou Barry and Joseph Farah that I should care what they think about science issues over people who actually know what they are talking about?

Bill, This is why I call you out on your unsupported arguments. You just throw dishonest and insulting/degrading stuff out without any support whatsoever.
However, there is a known creationist lie that seems very much in the same vein.

I would put money on WND recycling well known dishonest creation quote mines. Is one of the people they are using Dr Richard Lewontin?

@BT - do you sit around thinking, 'oh, I am bored. Let me say something stupid.' Did you follow the link?

How can you tell the are full of it? Full of what? Have you read the article or you do you just categorically dismiss things you feel you will be challenged by.

Have you read Bill's archives - the scientists he quotes, their credentials? I may not agree with all that he says, but he does substantiate his claims. That's more than I can say for you.

As for making unsubstantiated claims...try looking in the mirror.

Oh, and did you think to take up Bill's offer to guest write here? Or do you prefer to make your empty attacks anonymously?

Well Mike it's clear you didn't a)read my post, or b) read the link.

Because I clearly stated I followed the link and if you had followed it yourself you would have seen there is no information there. It's just a list of articles in the magazine.

Feel free to prove me wrong Mike, list & quote the 'Top Academics' given by that link.

And I am no more Anonymous than you are. And I have given my name before. I have no reason to believe your name is mike.

I've read plenty of articles hence my comments, if you have a good example of an article by Bill where he sources his facts and isn't quote-mining please share it I would be interested to read it.

And I certainly have never read anything about Guest Posts here, or did you just mean posting at Examiner.com?

I will note that you completely ignored that the central conceit of article 'Godless Scientists hate God' is clearly false due to all the religious scientists so right away the article is clearly of a dubious natur

@BT, Relax, relax...Well obviously you haven't read back far enough, eh?

Do a search of YEC or young earth creationists in the EXaminer box at the top and you will find loads of stuff, scientists bill has referenced with their credentials and such.

Guest writers - Bill has had several. Search Guest Writer, Ken Caproni at Christian Worldview Examiner. Are you next? Can't put the URL here.

Looking forward to reading your stuff.

Anyone who bothers to read the degraded junk at WND deserves the misinformation and distortion they will most often get. The link to the "whistleblow" advertisement which makes all sorts of sensationalistic claims is just garbage. It has a long list of stuff which I have little doubt would wind up being false if followed up.

There are far better sources of information than irresponsible emanations of right wing crackpots.

Worse yet, Bill, this isn't even an article, but an ad. There isn't even an author! And it quotes such esteemed intellects as wack Allen Keyes whose mental instability is evident. Really.

scientific theories must be proven, meaning you can see it and measure it, you can't see the big bang theory though you can see fossil evolution, but you cannot see god, and measure it, it is not anti god it is anti the inability to proving anything, that is what science is.

Carol Roach, Montreal Mental Health Examiner says:
"scientific theories must be proven, meaning you can see it and measure it, you can't see the big bang theory though you can see fossil evolution, but you cannot see god, and measure it, it is not anti god it is anti the inability to proving anything, that is what science is."
Gee Carol, I would have thought writing marginally correct English sentences would be a prerequisite for being an examiner. A little clear logical expression wouldn't hurt either. Oh well.

The word "proof" is not usually used in science since it implies a complete certainty that empiricism can never attain. But you seem to modify, that and then go marching off course again.

The "big bang" is an event inferred from evidence which is observed and measured, and such data has been accumulating.

One cannot "see" or measure deity because, by definition, its supernatural i.e. not observable.

But then you come full circle with confusion about science.
