Eddie Long talks about taking Ambien [VIDEO]
In the new video below, Bishop Eddie Long talks about taking Ambien -- not for the alleged sex romps that his accusers say the bishop used, but in this case, Bishop Long says he took Ambien for his great fear of flying.
Weaving the story into a message about running into storms and unexpected turbulence, Bishop Long amazingly made his case (and God used him to minister to me today as I watched and/or listened) about running into storms that we didn’t cause.
But that’s just it: Sometimes we do cause the storms, and we’ve gotta cop to it – and pray for grace and mercy over the consequences.
Storms will show up at the doctor’s office, Bishop Long is saying – talking about the day he went to work at the Ford Motor Company and they fired him – and drove him home, too – only because he had a company car.
“It can show up tonight when the family member who didn’t show up at church tries to steal your joy,” Long said to the crowd.
That leads me to believe this was Tuesday night’s empowerment service – coupled with the fact that the First Day Church YouTube channel just uploaded it on Tuesday.
Again, God have mercy on us and protect us. I’m amazed how much a fallen man can still speak to me, with the Lord speaking through him.

This is crap! I thought he said he wasn't going to try this case in public opinion? So why is he weaving sound bites into a sermon that God is suppose to have given him to give the people.
I totally agree. He's putting bits of information pertaining to the allegations in his sermon, all while hiding behind scripture. This is strategy and manipulation. He's dancing around it, be direct. Did you do it or not? Are these storms you didn't cause or ones you did? His congregation can't see it because they are too close to the problem. Sheep following a wolf. I hope he and his congregation learns and grows from this. I do think he can help his followers more by disclosing the truth and asking for their forgiveness and stop preaching hypocrisy.
I am so glad you highlighted this part because I was their and it proved his innocence by suggesting he himself take that because of his fear of flying so he likes to sleep on the plane until he reaches his destination..In that ridiculous aqucastions that he gave a guy a sleeping pill and had sex on the plane is ridiculous because his plane couldn't make it to Africa it's a small plane & second when he Travels over their he flys by way of Delta with a ministry team of 30+ people ...Unless Delta now has bedroom I think this one is like so ridiculous it is to funny that someone would think this is Believable.. How can you talk about "Taking Authority", and then be afraid of flying?
I just don't get it...
You wouldn't if you look at it from a carnal perspective. You live and learn each day how to take authority over those fears, those circumstances that exist in your life that are false evidence appearing real to a person. So when you speak, you speak to where you are going and not where you are right now. Change your mindset.
I think he need to change his mindset. Maybe the problem is that he's uncontrollably carnal.
Fear and God does not go together..
The only thing I hope is that he is not guilty and caring on like this!
