Celebrate National Green Week with this book for children: Living Green

While we celebrate National Green Week February 7-11, 2011, living green is something we should be doing all year round. "Living Green" by John Johnson is a wonderful book to help children be part of the process. Many people say we need to save the plant for our children but the children can be a part of saving the planet and it's never too early to start.

"Living Green" discusses ways we can all live environmentally friendly starting at home and in the community. Children learn about reducing waste, conserving resources, and ways to reduce our carbon footprint (the total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person) on the planet.

"Living Green" is part of the Sally Ride Science series which also includes: Clean Energy by Laurie Goldman (Mar 16, 2010), Clean Water by Beth Geiger (Aug 18, 2009), and Clean Air by Andrew Bridges (Aug 18, 2009). Each volume has full color photographs and illustrations pertaining to the topic of the book.
