Just days after its release, Rihanna's new single "Russian Roulette" has caused numerous online discussions involving the song's dark lyrics and obvious play on suicide.
Written by Ne-Yo, the track has many wondering the direction of Rihanna's upcoming album Rated R, including singer/songwriter Tiffany Evans, who feels "Russian Roulette" could possibly lead many Rihanna fans to commit suicide.
Evans (best known for her single "Promise Ring" ft. Ciara and her stint on Star Search) took to her Twitter page on Wednesday morning to discuss the topic. She tweeted:
"Russian Roulette= Suicidal Rate gon sky rocket!
You gotta watch what u say. Because there are a lot of weak people in the world. They are susceptible to anything so anything you say or do some people actually do listen. So make sure its nothing bad. Its okay to be deep,but not murder deep.
Man! I really wish I could tell you guys what the industry really is and what stars are apart of destroying this world. The stars who worship satan,and those who have killed to get the respect they have now. You’d be verrrry surprise. Some of your favorite people pretend to worship God but they only do that to save face. Or seem innocent.

According to TheProphet Blog.net, Evan’s tweets are centered around the “rumored corruption and brainwashing that goes on behind the scenes of the entertainment industry, often referred to as a group called the Illuminati“.
"If you’ve never heard of the Illuminati before, it’s basically a group or organization of powerful people in the industry that brainwash audiences with hidden messages in songs, music video’s, political campaigns etc. Stars such as Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Matthew Knowles have all been accused of being involved, as have various politicians and actors."

I totally agree with Tiffany, this song is too depressing and the part where rihanna say pull the trigger just is not right at all. I knew a girl that comited suicide last year and it was over a person who cheated on her and she shot herself in the head and songs like this helps push them even more There are allot of weak people out there and this song will only put more stuff in there head. They should banned this SONG!!
It's your own choice to listen to these songs. If you don't wanna listen to them or don't like their lyrics, DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. Stop hating - Rihanna has a lot of happy songs aswell and she's got by great so far, maybe she just wants to express how she feels. russian roulette is a metaphor for an abusive relationship that they cant leave. people gotta understand she was making her album during the scandal her mindset is in a darker and in my opinion edgier when it comes to her music. It wouldnt make sense to make this bubbly upbeat song, this song is something different definitely something deeper its not about suicides. I think everyone expected something to come from her but i like it

RR has been used metaphorically to illustrate all kinds of risky behavior. Yes some people are weak and if you are a parent I hope you have some idea of what kind of strength your child has because if your kid is prone to do what they hear in a song you have LOTS of things to work on at home. Some people tend to think well it's just a song, but other people live, get encouraged and sadly get suicidal thoughts from messages specially when they are encountered with a message from their prefered idol.
