John Konecsni is an author of thriller novels, and sole contributer to the blog, "A Pius Man: A Holy Thriller." By the age of 15, he figured out how to defend himself with everyday household objects. For the last five years, he has been practicing Krav Maga, the self-defense system of the Israeli Defense force. Since then, he has learned to defend himself against knives, guns, rebar, and baseball bats. He has attended three of the four major self defense schools on Long Island, including Kombat Masters of Long Island and Protection Fitness Krav Maga.
