Mexican Law Enforcement to patrol in Staten Island

Jan Brewer may not be the bogeyman the liberals painted her to be.

In an article by the Staten Island Advance, there has been a string of muggings in the New York borough of Staten Island. Anyone who has spent more than 15 minutes in any of the NY Boroughs knows that isn't exactly something new.

But here's a twist to the latest... turns out the muggers in question hurled a few racial epithets as well as some well  placed jabs at the intended victims.

Now the Mexican Consulate in NYC is stationing "personnel" in Staten Island.

In an e-mail statement sent from Mexican Consul General of Mexico in New York, Rubén Beltrán to the Staten Island Advance; (Emphasis mine) 

"In response to the escalating violence against Mexicans in Port Richmond, Staten Island, the Consulate General of Mexico in New York is posting personnel that will remain in the borough until further notice. This, in order to safeguard their rights and effectively assist and provide information to the Mexican residents of this area.
