No matter how one would like to keep optimistic in this day and age, it is very hard to ignore the fact that this earth is experiencing some serious changes. Russia is fighting a killer heatwave, raging wildfires, and threats of nuclear smog, while the Asian floods, landslides, are also taking massive tolls on human life, properties, and affecting the global markets. These are only a few examples of the world-wide extreme weather and natural disasters occurring simultaneously around the globe today. Words and phrases such as 'unprecedented', 'never before in living memory' are now common, and describe many of these events, and one has to wonder, what on earth is going on?
Most are quick to blame it on global warming. Climate change experts,Scientists, and Al Gore have all helped to give man-kind a 'reason' and 'explanation' for these unusual occurrences in weather and unprecedented disasters. In a recent article from the Montreal Gazette entitled, "Disasters 'prove that global warming is happening", Dr. Peter Stott, who is the head of climate monitoring at Britain's Met Office has said that there was "clear evidence" of a rise in the frequency of extreme weather events due to climate change. "The odds of such extreme events are rapidly shortening, and they could become considered the norm by the middle of this century," he was quoted as saying. Professor Andrew Watson, of the University of East Anglia, said the extreme events are "fairly consistent with the IPCC reports and what 99 per cent of the scientists believe to be happening." Next to global warming, another familiar culprit most closely associated with these events wreaking havoc on earth is, "Mother Nature". 'She' is frequently pointed out, and in a recent Bloomberg article, Peter McGuire, the managing director of CWA Global Markets Pty said, “Mother Nature is playing a very evil hand - it's always the poor that suffer.”
Global Warming and Mother Nature? Global Warming suggests that man-kind is at fault and as the 'green religion' becomes part of the norm for a 'fix' and Mother Nature is revered more and more, there is another explanation that needs to be examined. And quickly for those not aware. This explanation offers a hope in connection with it and a promise from the very creator of the earth.
The Bible foretells many signs that would culminate in the last days. Jesus indicated that these signs would arise together, occurring together in concert, as His return drew near. (Matthew 24:33-34) He said that chaotic and strange weather would be prevalent (Luke 21:25-26). Jesus foresaw the seas and the waves roaring in the last days. He also likened these signs to birth pangs (Matthew 24:8). The Greek word odin, often translated as sorrows in Matthew 24:8, literally means birth pangs. We are seeing an increase in strange weather patterns as prophesied; floods, droughts, famines, earthquakes, etc., and it is because the earth, 'creation' itself longs to be freed from the curse. Since Adam, all mankind, and creation has been fallen. The apostle Paul reminded us in the Scriptures that the creation itself would be delivered from the curse at the end of the age (Romans 8:21). And that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs (Romans 8:22). As delivery draws near, birth pangs always increase in both intensity and frequency. Therefore, the creation itself would travail as the time of delivery draws near. The 'fix' for the increase of these extreme weather and natural disasters, will not come by the hand of man. There is no turning back, just as a woman who labors and enters into stronger labor does not just stop and go backwards in progression. So, Is going 'green a bad thing' ? No. but there is no need for extremes in this way. That is not to say man-kind should not be good stewards of the earth.
The last days are here as the Word of God has prophesied thousands of years ago and viewing the current events through the lens of Biblical prophecy for days such as this can prove more accurate and truthful than any Scientist or man-made explanation - through which comes No real solution against the force of God. The solution and end of all these signs that will keep increasing until the time of the end, will be the Second Coming of Jesus Christ the Redeemer, when His Kingdom is birthed. These extreme weather events and natural disasters now occurring do not prove global warming is true - they prove that there is a God, a God Who keeps His Word.
The signs we are seeing now serve as a wake up call that the Tribulation time of judgment is coming, and for all to examine their own walk with God. Prior to the Tribulation, there will be a rapture to Heaven, of all those who are the LORD's followers now on earth- all those who place complete faith in Jesus Christ - and that could occur at any time.

We certainly are in the last days. Up until the rapture happens, we need to continue to pray, try to live holy lives, and spread the Word to unbelievers that Jesus Christ alone saves.

There is a Rapture--sort of. However, the "Left Behind" versions of it get the vast majority of it wrong. Only the Catholic Church gets it right. (I know I'll probably be persecuted for that. "The Rapture" as such, occurs when Jesus returns. The Bible clearly states that Jesus will return on THE Last Day. Thus, "The Rapture" occurs on THE LAST DAY. We are caught up to meet Jesus in the air, then we return with Him on His glorious return for final Judgement. We don't get spared anything. It refers to the custom of the Biblical author's day when a visiting potentate would come to a town, his friends/admirers/supporters would rush out of town at the announcement of his arrival, meet him and then accompany him back into the town. Like those townsfolk, believers who survive to The Last Day will likewise be privileged to meet Jesus and accompany Him back to Earth.
The Faithful WILL be here to go through the Tribulations. Get ready for it. You will need all your strength (and God's, of course) to get through it without despairing. Believing comforting falsehoods about being spared all of that WILL NOT HELP YOU.

The weather does seem quite out of hand, but we will know for certain that we are in the last days when Jesus starts to break the seals in chapter 6 of Revelation. When there is an increase in aggression, global war, inflation and famine, 1/4 of the world's population dies, and Jesus' children are persecuted and killed for their loyalty to Him, then we'll know for certain that His return is near. Otherwise, speculation over weather patterns should only compel us to seek out our King and mature in our understanding of Him so that whatever occurs, we might fiercely and courageously maintain our allegiance to Him, even in the face of death. Whether you believe in a pre-trib rapture scenario or not, all of God's children should seek a level of maturity in Him by which they might stand for Him through to the end.

I haven been waiting for a story like this for weeks. I was going to make a youtube video about the simultaneous natural disasters. The floods in Pakistan, the Russia wild fires and the landslides in China all happened around the same time. Also after the gulf oil spill several other smaller oil spill occurred around the world just within a 4 month period. We also have the sink holes, volcanoes and earth quakes that can't be blamed on global warming.
I have been staying awake and watching for these events however I think I need to put more effort into getting ready for the coming. We know Jesus is coming but what are we doing to prepare?

Natural disasters are very common..but this time its rather strange.Global disasters have increased greatly causing thousands to die.The world will of course blame "global warming"..yet its not.This is REALITY.this is literally happening...with all the global chaos people still deny this as proof that the bible is accurate.The world denies that God is a loving God because he does not "do" anything to "help" people..even tho death is natural.We're not immortal yet they harden their own hearts?God is in control..he created us,we didn't.
Jesus spoke of his return but even some Christians doubt the rapture because the word "rapture" does not occur in the English bible.It does..rapture means "taken away".Why would Jesus lie about something like this?Jesus is returning very soon and yes many generations thought that Christ would return for them..but proof was not on their side.We,this generation is literally witnessing the words Christ,Daniel etc taught.I'm not saying I know the "date" of Christs return but us humans know the Season because only God knows.

While I agree the birth pangs have begun, let us remember that it says there will be many martyrs, not all believers rapture prior to the tribulation and that is as it should be. During the tribulation people will need others to help them to understand. We, who believe, should be willing to stick around and help out (my opinion). It won't be pretty and it won't be safe, being a Christian never was.
The possibility that these predicted things are occurring is not missed by the non-believers. They see and they do know on some level; but, it is tought to look at what you have rejected and return, many will need assistance and understanding. That is what they fear the most, they would rather believe the "Illuminati" want to kill us all or that the Mayan's predicted this. The natural explanations are quickly failing and even non-believers don't buy the official story.
I will ask here I ask on my blog. If everything is normal then we have enough anomalous things at one time, odds are they should be over for awhile. But no non-believer will take the bet with me because they know the answer. There is more to come and it won't make sense either. The message to non-believers must be to rejoice, he does not hate any of us; but, if this is what it takes to get people's attention, then it will occur. Pray for all souls and be well.
the only reason you will stay behind is if your not born again, the people who do stay never accepted him or are in a false religion. the will be the tribulation saints, and they will have to die for the faith. its time to make sure everyone knows now before its to late, jesus is coming, i am waiting for the trumpet call. this is just the start, were not in the tribulation yet but the rapture of the church, an d millions missing will throw it right into it.

God is coming back , he is going to meet us in the air, this is our blessed hope, our gift. . yet now we have to think about the ones that will be left behind. the ones that do not know GOD or his girt of redemption Jesus Christ his beloved. We that have GOD's gift of salvation from these end days before the rapture, must start to spred the word of GOD and love humanity as Much as GOD loves humanity. GOD gave himself for his creation, He loves us. Yet truthfully humanity has turned its back on its creator. Mother nature, global warming are scientific validation for humanities selfishness and lack of devotion to the creation that GOD made out of love for us. Yet The earthquakes. how can you expalin it away, if you lack faith? NO GOD is the creator and we are his beloved creation, the earth is his footstool, and we were made to love him, through his girft of free will. GOD wanted a realtionship with creation . With out GOD we are clearly nothing, A HOLY JUST creator , who can not beumong sinners , became sin for us so that we have a relationship with our creator. While faith is not scientific, and can not be proven by scientific methods it can be expressed through the lives of the faithful. Born Again redeemed Christians are and should be proof of the Creators exhistence. We- in these trying times should be giving, kind forgiving and loving one another, living holy pure sinnless lives in the presence of our Creator.

NO ONE can deny we are at the end times now. Even the scientists though their reasoning is wrong have now anounced the earth has begun the road to it's 5th mass extinction. But hey guys look Jesus said these are the birth pains but that the end is not yet. Meaning we got to go through some of this before we go home. So not only do we have to spread his word be faithful and watch for his coming but also be praying for everyones safety as Christians we are able to through prayer help so much help the people of the world. God will send healing and the chance to use this time to open hearts and minds to where we all need to be, These people need love compasssion and prayer so much right now it just rips my heart out!!! All the persecution, cold blood murdering each other added to all the freak weather, unexplained animal deaths in masses, natural disasters but also the crazy stuff going on in space, there is just no denying all the pieces are in place and it is now time for God's plans to become evident and true to all who will listen and see. we know for sure that the world saw worse it is a proven fact by science not only the bible saying so. Jesus said the times would be like never seen before on earth so it goes to say we have no where near begun to see the worst of what is to come and then the tribulation will even top that. May we all be ready and God be with us and keep us all safe till the return of our Lord!

What is the "rapture"? We have to be able to identify it in the OT. If we can't, then we misunderstand the words of Paul. The ONLY thing that we find in the OT is the gathering of the believers (believers from the 12 tribes together with grafted in Gentiles who are NO longer Gentiles as Paul says, ONE people) from the 4 corners of the earth or resurrection. So, the blessed hope is the resurrection, our gathering together as one people back in the Land, NOT an escapist snatching away in some occultic chambers in the heaven. There is a difference between judgment and wrath. We are NOT appointed to wrath, BUT judgment starts in the House of God, because we have ALL forsaken Him and His ways. The wrath happens AFTER the tribulation/judgment, when the resurrection/gathering happens. Jesus says, AFTER the tribulation of those days...
We shouldn't get so wrapped up into how or when in my opinion. We are all going to meet the Lord, and wasting our time disagreeing about when will take our eyes off of the Lord and lead us into arguments and hatred.
