Stacy "Dr. Goodnight" Goodson has been busy putting together a great night of boxing. The event will take place at the Paris Middle School gym on September 18. The first match begins at 8:00 pm.

Although the event is not a fund raiser, it is devoted to raising awareness for autism. Stacy and Sarah "Thrilla from Manila" Goodson have two autistic children. Sergio is 8 years old and Sean is 7. Click here to meet Sergio and Sean Goodson.

I chatted with Goodson on Saturday morning.

"If I were in construction, I would build a clinic to help cure autism," Goodson said. "If I were a politician I would change the laws to make it easier to do the stem cell treatment in our country that has been proven to help other children whose families have the money. But I am a simple boxing man, so I do a show and call it 'KO Autism Night'. What could you do in the fight against Autism if you had to?"

The stem cells that Stacy speaks of come from umbilical cord blood, not from embryonic stem cells. Recently, new treatments have been developed that are helping a lot of children with autism. These new treatments are only available in Costa Rica. To learn more about stem cell treatment for autism and the benefits that have been realized, click here to watch a video.

The answer to Stacy's probing question, "What could you do in the fight against autism..." is simple. Come out to Paris for an exciting night of professional boxing, and show your support on "KO Autism Night".

This will be Delray "Rainmaker" Raines's first fight since he sustained facial fractures in his bout against Ronald Hearns, son of Thomas "Hitman" Hearns, in Atlantic City on April 17, 2010. The last time I spoke with Raines, he was hopeful of getting a fight on the George "Comanche Boy" Tahdooahnippah card in Oklahoma City, but was unable to do so. Nevertheless, Raines is prepared to come back stronger than ever. Read his statements in his most recent interview.

The current fight list for "KO Autism" is as follows:

Anthony Farguado vs Nick Capo

Delray Raines vs. T.B.A.

Steven Goodson vs Andrew Hartley

Bryant Pappas vs TBA

Howard Jones vs Lymon Polley

Mickey Scarbrough vs TBA

Lee Bagen vs TBA

Nikki Verbeck vs Tammy McGuire

Nick Lavin vs TBA
