Maybe it's the cold? Maybe it's just because big blonde Swedes are just uber-cute?

A study reported on by UPI shows that young Swedish people are more likely to be bisexual.

The Malmo University study shows that the Swedish guys, and particularly the girls, have very fluid undefined sexuality. They found that girls were most likely to have pursued sexual relations with the same sex.

"We are seeing a greater openness among young people, particularly among young women," Sven-Axel Mansson, the sociologist conducting the study, said to the newspaper Dagens Nyheter. "There is an increasing interest in experimenting and pushing boundaries, and a growing resistance to defining oneself as heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual."

The survey queried 855 people between the ages of 18 and 24 and that showed that 37 percent of the women and 7 percent of the guys were mostly attracted to the opposite sex but admitted they were sometimes attracted to someone of their same sex.

Also, 39 percent of women and 8 percent of the guys 'fessed up to full-blown bisexual fantasies, having sexual fantasies of both genders. Only 13 percent of the women and 3 percent of the men actually identified as bisexual, or admitted to having sexual relations with both men and women.

It is actually not surprising that in a culture which is not sexually repressed that people's bi/pansexuality would emerge, as was true in First Nations peoples before the missionaries came. I wish you would change your "Animals shown to have bisexual behavior" to read "All of them, including..." because every single animal that exhibits sexual behavior is bisexual, but your list makes it look like the exception rather than the rule. If bisexuality is nature's way, it stands to reason the same would be true in humans, except for sexual repression.
