On July 8, the Vatican released a new encyclical (i.e., a letter from the Pope to church leaders dealing with various aspects of Catholic doctrine), entitled "Charity in Truth." In it the Pope calls for a "true world political authority" or what some may refer to as a one world government. According to an article posted by The NewAmerican.com, the Pope also calls for the reform of the United Nations, economic institutions and international finance in order that "the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth (emphasis added)." It now appears that the Vatican is joining in with groups such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers, and the Trilateral Commission, in its call for a new world order.
According to Daniel chapters 2 and 7, there is a coming world empire that will dominate the whole world and be led by a man known as the Anti-Christ. Revelation 13:7 states that "...power was given him [the Anti-Christ] over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." The whole idea of a one world government has been in the works for decades but we are starting to see signs of its impending arrival more and more. It won't be too much longer before we see the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation come to life right before our eyes.
Here are just a few reasons why I believe we are going to see the formation of a one world governmental system sooner rather than later.
- There are talks to bring the nations of the world into larger unions, such as we see with the European Union. Consolidations of power into regions such as the North American Union, African Union, and the South Asian Union, are on the horizon.
- Several influential countries, namely Russia and China, have spent months urging the nations of the world to drop the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency and implement a one world currency, culminating in Russia's President unveiling the new one world coin earlier this month.
- With the help of satellite technology, computer chips, and perhaps even social networking sites, the world's elite have every opportunity to track all human beings on the face of the planet.

Not the case!!! The Pope is NOT calling for such. One needs to read the whole document and everything in context! For example he emp. the very much the principle of subsidiarity --even in talking about the family of nations! subsidiarity is quite contra any "one world gov!" as you envision in your ideas.

This article is sadly just more ignorance from those who know the English words in the Bible, but have little to no idea of the actual meaning, and foist their own world view upon God's word. Secondly, they take this world view and look at God's Church, and so they don't understand God's Church (the Catholic Church) either. It's no wonder we see uninformed, ill written fanciful articles like this. Peter warned that the ignorant twist Scriptures to their own destruction. In the article above, we see an example of what Catholic inspired NT author St. Peter warned about. As Head Bishop of God's Church, Peter had authority above the other Bishops, and was an inspired author of Scripture as well. Those who are ignorant of Godly Tradition (oral and written) are unfortunately therefore also ignorant of Christ. It's sad that so many use isogesis instead of exigesis to derive their own meanings of God's word. God is God. Catholic Church delivers God's mail. Others edit God's mail.

I don't necessarily believe that the Pope is conspiring with secret organizations to try to take over the world. I just see the Pope's call for a "true world political authority" as a sign that this world is headed toward a one world system and that it will come upon us quicker than we may think. I mean no disrespect toward the Pope or the Catholic Faith. In fact, I would even join in with the whole one world system if it weren't for the proclivities of fallen man. This world will not be able to fully unite peacefully until Jesus returns and sits as King.
It does not matter how hard anyone trys to disprove the SPIRIT of anti-christ , it still is working in ALL forms. Religion, Polotics, Gov.(public) Ed. Movies, Music ect.
find the true church of God from its beginning then you will see the catholic church is a branch of the orthodox Christianity.God Bless All

Unfortunately, you also do not understand the original language or meaning of certain scriptures. i am sure the verse you are referring to for peter being the "head Bishop" of God's church is found in Matt 16:13-18. Jesus says "you are Peter and upon this rock i will build my church". Many think that this is refereing to Peter because his name means Rock. But in the original language Jesus said "you are Petros (lttle rock) and upon this Petra (big Rock) i will build my church. He was not talking about Peter at all, but rather his statement, "you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." further, if you are to study the book of Acts you would see that if there is a "pope" it would not be Peter, but rather James. see acts 15:13, acts 21:18. the God that gives you your mail isn't the one of the bible. You have zeal but not according to knowledge. Just look at "your" churches history.

Proof for sure that this column is needed, so much ignorance on prophecy and it is because the Bible is not the reference and the reader doesn't know the author personally. Bible-believing Christians know what to do with the Catholic church: RUN, don't walk, as fast as you can, in the opposite direction, away from the Catholic church, and its popes and false twisted dogma. The Catholic church is the last days apostasy the Bible speaks of. Jesus Christ is the way, the Truth, and the life, no man comes to God except by Jesus Christ. No pope, no communion wafer, or infant baptism can save you from your sin, only the Blood of Jesus Christ.
