Beatle news briefs: Ringo Starr sets TV appearance to promote album

RINGO ON TV: The promotion for Ringo Starr's new "Ringo 2012" album is heating up. In addition to his SiriusXM Town Hall appearance Jan. 30, he will also appear on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" Jan. 31 on CBS. He'll be the only guest on the show that night and will perform and chat with Ferguson. You can read our review of "Ringo 2012" here.

ALSO THIS WEEK ON TV:  "Time Bandits" with George Harrison's "Dream Away" is on Thursday and next Tuesday on Flix, Feb. 1 on Showtime and Feb. 5 on Showtime Beyond. "The Ilse of Wight Festival 2010" with Paul McCartney is on Palladia Sunday, "The Kids Are Alright" with an appearance by Ringo Starr is on Cinemax Feb. 4. "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" is on the Sundance Channel Feb. 5.

RINGO RADIO SPECIAL: This week's edition of Ken Michael's "Every Little Thing" is a two-hour Ringo special to celebrate the release of "Ringo 2012." The program aired live from 10 p.m. to midnight ET instead of its regular 7 p.m. ET time on WNHU.net. It will also be broadcast at 10 p.m. CT (9 p.m. ET) Sunday on www.Fab4Radio.com.
 
NEW RUSTY ANDERSON COMPILATION: Paul McCartney guitarist Rusty Anderson has a new album coming out in Europe called "Until We Meet Again" that's available now for download on iTunes and Amazon.com downloads and will soon be available as a physical CD on Amazon.com. The album features the title song, which is new, and 11 songs taken from his previous two albums "Born on Earth" and "Undressing Underwater." Included is "Hurt Myself," which features Paul McCartney.
