In efforts to keep the world spinning green, students from DeLaSalle school in Kansas City proved to the world they could create a 300 mpg vehicle at the Texas Bridgestone proving grounds. Accompanied by Bridgestone engineers, they teamed up and created what could be the most efficient vehicle ever!

This isn't the first and only experiment heading towards the green kingdom of tomorrow. Scuderi air hybrid engines , adjustable compression ratio motors, salt water fuel powered vehicles, hydrogen peroxide powered drag racers, and even unseen Dodge Circuit EV footage videos are all testament of our will to succeed. In progression of mankind's journey into the transportation technology, yet another step is now completed thanks to this 300 mile per gallon EV from DeLaSalle students and Bridgestone engineering.

Working together as a team, the students took an original chassis from a 2000 Lola Indycar to minimize weight and maximize aerodynamics. Built for the ultimate in power to weight ratio, the Lola Indycar chassis was proven at 300 miles per gallon to be the right choice. Good thing they didn't pick a Suburban, Tahoe, or Excursion!

This vehicle may have set the world record for most efficient vehicle as it's completely powered by electric motors, yields 300 miles per gallon, and complete with a CAD rendered aerodynamic design that creates minimal drag. The run has been submitted to Guinness World Records by the student's teacher for evaluation.

Opinion: I think it's great to see established engineers working with students of their field. This type of experience is priceless as it will give the students the credibility and history to succeed in the fading economy. Within a couple of years of extreme gas hikes, we already have people creating 300 mile per gallon vehicles. This brings up the question, "will gasoline become illegal?"
