A trio of Challengers is just a sample of the great cars at the All Mopar show in Riverside
It seems like you hear a lot of crap regarding the Chrysler Corporation lately, but the Pentastar was shining brighter than ever this weekend during the 25th Annual “All Mopar Car Show and Swap” presented by the High Performance Auto Club at the E.H. Young Riverfront Park in Riverside, Mo.
The feature vehicle was the Little Red Express Truck from the 1978-1979 model years. There were quite a few of those parked on a hill, but one of the standouts was one that was painted metallic black and re-christened as the “Midnight Express.”
Plenty of Plymouth Superbirds and Dodge Charger Daytonas were also represented, including one in full Charlie Glotzbach NASCAR livery, and a phantom Superbird convertible.
Chargers, ‘Cudas, and Challengers ruled the show field, but there were a few older-vintage Chrysler products, including a fantastic Hemi-equipped ’57 Imperial Convertible.
There was also a nice Mopar swap meet with all kinds of rare parts and pieces for your vintage Chrysler or Plymouth, and an area where die cast models and toys could be purchased for you or your kids. Refreshment and food stands and several door prizes kept the crowd full and happy. There was also a burn out and loud exhaust competition.
It’s hard to really get a feel for a show like this by just reading a story, so check out the slideshow below for a few photos of the choice rides on the show field.
