Gay bar may open next to Ground Zero mosque

Conservative Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has recently announced that he is planning on opening a gay bar two blocks from Ground Zero in New York City. That would put it right next door to the planned Cordoba Mosque.

Gutfeld hosts the Fox News show “Red Eye” and is known as being a satirist. But this time, he claims to be serious. He has apparently looked into the space and has already obtained investors.

While many consider Gutfeld’s plan for a gay bar to be a provocation, insensitive, and offensive, Gutfeld claims that he is trying to “promote integration and tolerance” of gays in the Muslim community. His planned bar will be marketed toward Muslims and will feature a non-alcoholic floor to cater to Muslim dietary restrictions featuring 72 virgin drinks.

On his website, Gutfeld claims that he supports the legal rights of the Muslim community to build their mosque so close to Ground Zero. In fact, this is his justification for the building of his gay bar next to their mosque. While it seems that his gay bar plan is a satire of the mosque itself, he continues to insist that he is being serious.

At the root of the gay bar plan is the fact that the religion of Islam is notoriously homophobic. The problem with Greg Gutfeld’s plan is that more then half of Christians are also notoriously homophobia and they are Fox News’s main demographic. In fact, Gutfeld talked about his plan with Glenn Beck who had fun with the idea, but when he realized that Gutfeld was not joking, Beck got a little on edge.

Gutfeld is taking suggestions for naming his new bar on is website, The Daily Gut

You're a typical liberal if you think all Christians are gay-haters. I infact support gay marriage, and dare I say it, I'm a Christian and a conservative. If you watched Fox news more, especially Red Eye (Greg's show) you would know that even some of the supposed "Right wing wack jobs" are open-minded.

April, I really enjoy your 'atypical' views and am glad that there are like-minded, independent thinkers out there!

We’ll according to most christians the bible says homosexuality is wrong, so basically if you support it that makes you a hypocrite, whose going against the bibles supposed word.

How is it possible that the mainstream media is missing the fact that this is satire?

What April said in response to Staks:
"You're a typical liberal if you think all Christians are gay-haters."

What Staks said to provoke April:
"The problem with Greg Gutfeld’s plan is that more then half of Christians are also notoriously homophobia[sic] and they are Fox News’s main demographic."

Is April in need of learning reading comprehension or of learning basic math?

Careful April, real Christians are going to start calling you not a real Christian. Must be a log cabin conservative. Whatever, there are probably lots of other things you can discriminate against, otherwise your probably not a real Christian.

I have many conservative friends who are open-minded. I also have some liberal friends who could take a few lessons on open-mindedness.

It's hard to tell how serious he is, but I hope he goes through with it. I agree with Gutfeld that tolerance is a two way street.

You write, bad grammar and all: "At the root of the gay bar plan is the fact that the religion of Islam is notoriously homophobic. The problem with Greg Gutfeld’s plan is that more then half of Christians are also notoriously homophobia..."

The difference is, which one is more likely to still execute gays, not to mention still not tolerate their existence.

Well,I don't see the problem here...personally I'm planning on setting up one of those sidewalk lunch carts near the main entrance and sell Tennessee style hickory smoked pork BBQ sandwiches

Christians who are also politically neo conservative don't seem to care or think too much about the fact that Muslims are opposed to many of the same modern day degeneracies that they are. If they are of that politically persuation they will think this is funny.

I endorce it. I've always wanted a Big, Strong, Demanding Muslim Man. I believe this bar (hopefully suspicious packages) will help S-T-I-M-U-L-A-T-E the economy. ;D

That is a FANTASTIC Idea to open a Gay bar next to all Mosques throughout the USA and other Industrialized countries throughout the world. I would like to add something else you can open next to all Mosques. How about a Wine store where you can make wine or just buy it to take home. Another great business next to a Mosque would be a Restaurant that specializes in PORK Spare Ribs. Two great Islamic forbidden food and Drink. They might all end up leaving the country. Back in the 1st World War, an English Soldier made all the Muslims retreat without a gun shot, just by saying to them that he had PIG GREASE loaded in his gun and they all ran. Can you imagine doing that throughout the mideast from the air. Muslims are not allowed to even touch pig grease as they believe that they are DOOMED and will suffer for eternity. Believe it or Not. This is a true storey.

If they attack us on our soil, we'll know how to make them retreat. LOL
