Just as this weekend’s disturbing crime in Miami of a man eating another man’s face is starting to fade out of the news, here comes another one. This new zombie apocalyptic type incident includes only one man who took pieces of his own intestines after stabbing himself and threw them at police.
While it is not known what Wayne Carter, a 43 year-old man from New Jersey, was experiencing to start this incident rolling, it turned out as one blood bath for the SWAT team. The police were called to his home on Sunday night about 10 p.m.. The call came from an unknown person who said that Carter was locked in his bedroom with a knife and threatening to hurt himself, according to South Coast Today.com
When the police got there they broke down the bedroom door, which Carter had piled furniture up against. He was sitting in the corner and continued stabbing himself with a 12 inch long knife. His intestines started to squeeze out of the knife wounds, but he still wouldn’t stop. He had 50 self-inflected stab wounds.
Carter grabbed pieces of his intestines and his flesh and threw them at the cops. The cops sprayed two cans of pepper spray at this crazed man, but it didn’t do anything to make him stop. The police retreated and the SWAT team was sent in.
The SWAT team was able to subdue the man using projectile bean bags. The scene was so bloody that the SWAT team needed to go through a decontaminating process before leaving.
Carter was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition. While disorderly conduct is in the man’s history, he has never done anything like this before. He’s also been taken to the hospital for psychiatric reasons in the past, but again Carter never displayed this kind of behavior before.
Carter severed a main artery in his stomach with one of the 50 self-inflected stab wounds he endured. This comes on the heels of Friday’s zombie like attack in Miami where Rudy Eugene attacked Ronald Poppo, who is a 65 year-old homeless man, by eating his face almost completely off.
This was during the middle of the afternoon on a busy Miami highway ramp. This crime left the attacker dead after police shot him and the victim is still in critical condition in the hospital.
The Miami attack was dubbed "Miami zombie apocalypse" by the media. This latest incident in Hackensack, New Jersey seems to add more fuel to the zombie talk. The gruesome pictures of the attack in Miami were released and can be seen here on the SMSEO website.
