WWE Extreme Rules produced big results tonight on pay per view. The World Championship changed hands twice, Chris Jericho broke his own record for most Intercontinental Title victories and Tommy Dreamer saved his career by winning the ECW Championship.
Here is the fall out:
In the opening match, Kofi Kingston successfully defended his United States Championship in a fatal four way against Montel Vontavious Porter, William Regal and Matt Hardy when Kingston pinned Regal.
In a No Holds Barred mach for the Intercontinental Championship, Chris Jericho beat Rey Mysterio by ripping his mask off and rolling him up. With this victory Jericho now becomes a nine time Intercontinental Champion, breaking his own previous record of eight reigns.
CM Punk beat Umaga in a Samoan Strap match.
In a triple threat match for the ECW Championship, Tommy Dreamer pinned Jack Swagger go win the match and the Title. Current ECW Champion Christian was not included in the final decision. If Tommy had not won the match and the Championship he would have left World Wrestling Entertainment.
Santina Marella beat Chavo Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero in a handicap Hog Pen match for the Miss WrestleMania crown.
Batista pinned Randy Orton clean in the middle of the ring in a cage match to win the WWE Championship.
John Cena made The Big Show tap out in a submission match.
In the main event ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Jeff Hardy beat Edge to win the World Title. Immediately after the match CM Punk came out to cash in his Money in the Bank title shot and beat Hardy to win his second World Championship. Both of his reigns have come from cashing in Money in the Bank briefcases.

They are killing Punk's credibility by having him sneak in with the briefcase for title wins. That was cool for Edge, he's a heel. When RVD won the Money in the Bank he requested a match.
To have him run in on a guy after a match twice is lame and turns him into a heel. Why turn him heel with Edge and Jericho around?
Punk is over as a face. It sounds like someone is trying to ruin him.
Batista sucks, by the way, I don't really know why they are doing this with Punk...

Well done wwe for killing all the credilbility that edge and jeff have. Jeff has another short reign, edge has another 2 month reign and cm punk is turning heel when he is one of the most over faces in WWE.
Haven't watched WWE for years cause of this crap, Vince McMahon isn't HALF the wrestling visionary he claims to be.

I do wonder as well if Punk will get lost as a heel with uber-bad guys like Chris Jericho and Edge around but Punk has done some amazing stuff in the past with his "I'm better than you" straight edge heel character so I'm optimistic and intrigued to see where it goes. I don't like Edge having another criminally short reign once again and really don't like Batista picking up the WWE Title, especially since news came out that he has an injured bicep. Orton and Legacy have been building momentum and a long Title reign for Orton would have made their stable.

I'm very disappointed in the match outcomes of Extreme Rules. Every title holder lost their match except for Kofi but he just got his last week. I just don't understand why there are so many title exchanges. They need to let people have it for awhile (people who aren't Edge because I'm sick of that storyline-Edge/Vicki plotting for him to keep it...blah blah blah). The long championship reigns make for better storylines. I liked that Randy had the title. He's a guy everyone loves to hate and it seems as if everyone (but me) loves Batista. We all knew Tommy Dreamer was going to win that match so it's retarded that they even had it to begin with...and seriously after all of the crap they've had Jeff Hardy go through (personal life aside) they should have just let him have the title and keep it for a bit.

Well according to wrestlingreaveled.com Jeff Hardy's contract is up in august and he will more than likely leave to persue other interests. So I can see why they did what they did with CM Punk becuase they dont know if Jeff will be there. They said really the choice is his.
I saw extreme rules on pay per view and i got to tell ya that was a great match between edge and jeff hardy. Even though jeff won he deserve
that title... not edge (cause he's a pain in the neck!!!!)
