'Workaholics' star Anders Holm joins FOX's 'Mindy Project'

'Workaholics" star Anders Holm will appear in four episodes of "The Mindy Project" as Mindy's (Mindy Kaling) new love interest.

As Deadline.com reported Wednesday (March 6), the actor will play Casey, "a charismatic, altruistic, and popular Lutheran pastor in New York City who is so cool he has a DJ at his church services."

When Casey first meets Mindy he manages to both attract and repel her, but they start dating soon after. Holm's first episode on the FOX sitcom will air in April.

Actress Chloe Sevigny will also have a multi-episode arc later this season as Danny Castellano's (Chris Messina) ex-wife, a war photographer who broke his heart when she had an extramarital affair.

"Mindy Project" was recently renewed for a second season, along with "New Girl," "Raising Hope" and "The Following." Seven episodes remain of the first season.

Holm is one of the stars and co-creators of Comedy Central's increasingly popular comedy "Workaholics" along with Adam DeVine and Blake Anderson. The trio are currently writing an action-adventure comedy for the big screen, and will cameo in the new season of "Arrested Development."

The cable series, currently in its third season, was renewed for seasons 4 and 5 in January, totaling an additional 26 episodes.

"The Mindy Project" airs Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT after "New Girl" on FOX, while "Workaholics," which wraps Season 3 on March 20, continues Wednesdays at 10/9 p.m. CT on Comedy Central.
