On Jan. 10, 2013, police were called to a Los Angeles area mall where authorities say a woman is being held hostage by two men, reports NBC LA.
According to the Los Angeles Police Dept., the men entered the Nordstrom Rack in the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center at around 11 p.m. They believe the men took the woman to the rear of the store, which closed for the evening at 10 p.m.
The mall itself closed at 9 p.m., according to the report.
The men are believed to be armed, but police have not confirmed what type of weapons they are wielding.
Additional law enforcement arrived on scene at 11:45 p.m.
NBC notes that the 405 Freeway near the Howard Hughes Parkway off-ramp had been shutdown, however, by midnight it had reopened, but is still cordoned off.
According to the Promenade website, the mall has two stories and includes businesses such as Johnny Rockets, Gamestop, and Starbucks.
