Willie: Neglected boxer named in honor of Robin Williams needs rescue

Please help Willie. Ask for A4744266 when inquiring.

Willy is three days past his "exit" due date and that could easily be a death sentence for a senior eight-year-old neglected and undernourished boxer - no matter how nice or how handsome this brown brindle guy might be.

Click here to see Willie's PetHarbor listing. Please refer to Identification#A4744266 when inquiring about this dog.

A volunteer who has personally met Willie states the dog is very sweet and friendly. At this point, Willie can be adopted by an individual if they sign a medical waiver with Carson Animal Care Center. Willie is currently on medication in treatment for an upper respiratory infection, and once he is well, the adopter must agree to bring him back to be neutered or have proof that he has been neutered by their own veterinarian.

Click here to follow the Facebook thread as humane advocates pledge funds to help an approved rescue with Willie's future care and/or medical expenses.

Check out this short video of Willie as he gently nibbles on a hotdog offered by one of the volunteers.

In another video, available by clicking here, the volunteer writes:

"This 8 year old guy is amazing. He is super sweet and adorable but way too skinny."

Willie was picked up as a stray on August 11 and became eligible for adoption on August 16. Please share his urgent story with friends, family and coworkers. Share this article with someone and pass on the message about Willie's desperate plight. It only takes one person to save this beautiful dog. Please don't let him become a tragic statistic.
