West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio endorses Gregg Weiss for city commission

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, Mayor Jeri Muoio officially announced that she was endorsing Gregg Weiss for West Palm Beach City Commission, District 5 seat.

In her endorsement letter to Gregg Weiss, Mayor Jeri Muoio stated:

“Your 30 years of business experience will help us to ensure we are creating policies that can create new jobs. Your background in managing large budgets will ensure we continue to find ways to improve government efficiency. If elected you will be the only commissioner with planning board experience and that will help us as we decide development issues, including the future of the old city hall site plans.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Mayor Jeri Muoio in my campaign. I want to bring my experience to the City Commission so we can focus on the needs of our community. I will serve as an independent voice who will work with our neighborhoods and residents on addressing their concerns. I have a track record of working side by side with leaders across our City and will work collaboratively with our Commission and Mayor to ensure we get things done for West Palm Beach,” Gregg Weiss stated.

Gregg Weiss has over 30 years of technical and management experience working for several firms in the technology sector. Gregg’s plan for West Palm Beach focuses on jobs and economic development, the City budget, protecting West Palm Beach’s neighborhoods and ensuring City government is ethical and transparent in its decision making process. In the community, Gregg also serves on several boards, associations and committees in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, including Captain of Citizens on Patrol West Palm Beach Police Department, City of West Palm Beach Planning Board, Vice-Chair, Member of Leadership West Palm Beach 2009, Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc., Treasurer, SunFest, Vice-Chair of Operations, West Palm Beach Crime Prevention, Vice President, South End Court Watch Program, Governmental Affairs Committee, Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, The Palm Beaches Marathon Festival, Committee Chair Community Relations, City of West Palm Beach Sustainable Housing Committee, Chair, Palm Beach County Citizen Committee on Airport Noise and the Mayor’s 2011 Transition team, serving on the Budget, Neighborhood, and Efficiency and Effectiveness teams.
